The Study Of Russian Architects From The Beginning Of 19th Century To The Middle Of 20th Century

The Russian architecture which was built in Harbin during modern ages has its special artistic charm. It was introduced into this area by Russian architects .They took the traditional Russian architecture culture as their culture background, synthesizing the advanced Western architecture design theory in that time, to establish a great number of in buildings of different styles and high artistic value in Harbin. At present China, the status quo of the special study about Russian architect still is quite dispersive, lacking a systemic conclusion and summarization. Therefore, treating the Russian architects in Modern Harbin as a whole study is a job with high practical meanings.The Russian architects in Modern Harbin were the main bodies of architecture design. Their design idea, theory and ability played an essential role in the process of design work. This article tries to make a lateral illustration of the fatal factors which affect the phenomenon above, in terms of individual architects'experience, education degree, job and life in different time and etc.The main body of this article can be divided in three parts. They are migration background, career character and basic types. Article describes the process of the migration of Russian architects to Harbin; The basic activities during their live in Harbin; The specific contents of the time and reasons they came and left Harbin; The work and life situation in different ages and places; education degree and family background and other contents. The third part of the article include the contents of the general urban architects in Harbin, the special organizations, the magazine―Architecture Life‖,the education agencies which are established in Harbin and etc. Because of the complexity of the social historic environment at that time, it need a certain rule to classify the research objects efficiently during the specific illustration process. Then it need to analyze the objects in different historical background, to make the understanding of this period of history and these architects and their activities clear and neat.The Russian architecture is a concentrative event in Harbin after the accumulation of the Russian architecture culture for thousands years. The research in this article starts with the history and research data which have already existed, treating the Russian architect as a whole to analyse their commonness during different historical ages. These research not only enriches the traditional Harbin local architecture history, but also explores deeply about the research of Russian architects in Harbin.
