As one of the special automobiles, the cycling tanker obtained rapid development in recent years. Especially in recent years, the growth of automobiles'quantity will cause that the demand of gasoline and diesel will surely increase. While most oil refineries, oil depot and gas station do not have gas pipelines to connect, the number of tanker has in-creased year by year. In the meanwhile, exploitation of the oil and gas resources in Chi-na's western regions get expanded that will also drive the development of petrochemical and refining industry, the increasing demand of oil transport vehicles.In order to shorten the period of product cycle, cut costs, improve competitiveness, it is necessary to study load and stress distribution of the tanker for providing referred data in the subsequent improvement and optimization of tanker. This paper uses a large-scale software(ANSYS Workbench 12.0) for general finite element analysis to analyze the mechanical properties of the cycling tanker. These studies will improve the efficiency of oil supply and enrich the application of modern design method.The main works of the paper are finished as follows:(1) Compared with engineering drawing of the original models, establishing three-dimensional geometrical model of the cycling tanker with ANSYS'S APDL com-mand. Simplified the model of cycling tanker based on the finite element method and mechanics, selected units, ascertained boundary conditions, distribution of load or stress.(2) analyzed the strength of key part such as vice frame, tanker, shell cover, wave plate, bulk head coupled with the distribution of distress and displacement, and the strength check based on the application of software ANSYS and the precise finite ele-ment model. Provided the overall distribution of distress and gave some critical problems in structural design. Through compared the calculated results with the actual situation, deduced some theoretical results for subsequent structural optimization and design.(3) Conducted modal analysis of tanker and harmonic response analysis of frame, which can provide reference for the analysis of seismic of the tanker, the dynamic opti-mization design and the solution of structural transient dynamic and spectrum analysis.This paper, based on finite element model and reload of distress, has provided some new methods and techniques for the design. Through calculating various cases, discuss-ing and analyzing the results, we will get the structure performance parameters and load results parameters of cycling tanker.we can find out the hidden dangers, prolong life, improve safety performance timely, to avoid or reduce the economic loss, as well as provide the relevant data and theoretical basis for designing and producing the new liq-uid container car.
