Crankshaft is one of engine parts which are most difficulty and complexity to manufacture. The accuracy and technics affect the engine size and weight directly, but also affect the reliability and fatigue of the engie. In order to improve the level of the crankshaft manufacturing technology and reach the target of domestic brands automobile, the crankshaft machining method and device should be studied deeply, and the crankshaft capacity will be improved.Combined cutting of crankshaft is a new method to machine the crankshaft. When machining the crankpin, the cutting tool holder can track the cutting process. The moving and rotating of the cutting tool holder can be drived by motor whoes drive train is very complex. So, the corresponding power consumption in all parts can not be analyzed by traditional way of the ordinary lathe. Therefore, when the analyzing the process of cutting the crankpin, the power distribution of the main movement and tracking tool holder is the main contents of this paper.The main contents of this paper ara as follows:(1) According to the crankshaft combined cutting principle, the power consumption of the main crankshaft lathe trasmission mechanism is analyzed through the theory way. The power computational models of main movement and tracking the cutting tool holder are completed. And how the cutting parameter affects the cutting power is discussed.(2) Based on lathe composite structure design, three-dimensional model of the transmission system is build. With simulation software ADAMS, crankshaft connecting rod neck cutting simulation conditions is simulated, the dynamic simulation of the transmission system is completed and torque figures of the crankshaft and the cuttin tool holer are got.(3) Measurement method of torque and speed is carried out according to the principle of torque and speed. And the corresponding test project is determined.(4) With the development platform of the software---LabVIEW, a compound crankshaft lathe processing power test system is developed, as well as the related modules. Human-machine interface the power test system is realized. The control of data acquisition, signal analysis and processing and display results is achived by software programs.Crankshaft Combined cutting Power of the lathe is studied, and the calculation model of power and torque is carred out. What's more, the overall design of the power of the test program and test system is designed, which can realize the real-time measurement of cutting power, and verify the theoretical analysis, the research of this paper have a significant effect on the design and improvement of complex lathe.
