With the continuously development of technology, more and more power electronicdevices have been used in many fields. At the same time the electronic harmonicpollution brought by it is more and more obvious, so that affects the normal, safe use ofpublic power grid.Firstly, this paper outlines the concept of harmonic, the analysis elaborated domesticand abroad, the research results and the status quo of harmonics, and then the detailed analysis of several methods for measuring harmonic mature. Such as instantaneous reactivepower method, adaptive method, neural network method, fourier transform method andwavelet transform method etc. It analyzed the principal of a method of harmonicmeasurement which is based on multiplier, and simulated the method on virtualinstrument developing workbench LabVIEW.Secondly, It designed the plan of harmonic measurement system which is based onmultiplier, the system is composed of hardware part and software part, The hardware partmainly includes two parts: data acquisition card and signal conversion circuit. Thefunction module software realization mainly has: the fundamental parametersmeasurement of utility grid, harmonic realizes the application of Fourier transformmethod, the harmonic measurement using multiplier, the measured data is saved, thehuman-computer interface. Then we debugged the system by real-time measurement ofpower network and analyzed the precision of measurement.Finally, in order to raise the speed and efficiencies of data management, it used morepopular tool packet labSQL to manage the data from power harmonic measurementsystem.
