Since the 20th century, the German church buildings underwent huge changes. First new construction techniques and architecture materials developed and applied. Second in European countries movement of exploring new architectures makes new thought. At the same time because of liturgical movement the Christianity became to reform itself. This paper describes the German modern churches continued from the nobility, transmitted, mystery of ancient churches, researches construction technology, space forms, behavior modes and other issues of German modern churches, introduces the ideology, theory and practice of Otto Bartning, Dominikus Bohm, Gottfried Bohm, Rudolf Schwarz and other church architects, discusses new features of Germany modern church such as form individuation, space humanization, function diversity, hopes to make some inspirations of historical and cultural continuation of architecture.
