Study On The Localization Characteristics Of Modern Catholic Church Architecture In Jinan Diocese

In 1986,Beijing held a seminar on the study of modern architecture history in China.At home and abroad,China's modern architecture research is increasingly valued.Church buildings are the most typical "sampling specimens" from a technical or artistic perspective.They are semi-colonial and semi-feudal.The characteristics of the times and regional characteristics,in which Catholicism is carried out earlier than the Protestant and Orthodox construction activities,the architectural decoration and decoration are more abundant,and the study of the Catholic Church is more representative.As a birthplace of Confucian culture,Shandong has a church construction record in the 17 th century.The missionary activities have not been interrupted.The Jinan Diocese has evolved from the Shandong pastoral area,including the administrative and transportation center of Shandong.It has always been the mission center and preferred area of Shandong.Based on the investigation,it is found that the existing modern Catholic church in Jinan Diocese has different degrees of localization compared with the Western church,and some of them have been in disrepair.However,due to the loss of the church materials in the special historical period,the research on the construction of the Catholic Church in Shandong is in the content and angle.There is still room for improvement,and the evaluation and protection of the old church creates a real dilemma.Therefore,the retrospective study on the localization characteristics of the existing modern Catholic church in Jinan Diocese has become an important basis for exploring and solving the problem,which needs to be explored.This paper begins with the relationship between the social background of Catholic communication and church construction.By studying the social background of Catholicism in China,the church construction in each period and the historical construction of the church in Jinan,the society of the modern Catholic church building in Jinan.Factors to master the historical process of the localization of church buildings.Secondly,according to the current situation,the Catholic Church buildings that have been established since the recent establishment in the geographical area of Jinan Diocese are taken as research samples.Through the analysis methods of comparison,quantification and semantic ontology,the general classification of architecture from the group layout,main building,The three aspects of the ancillary structure summarize the localization characteristics of the church building.The main building research is based on the main manifestation of the localization characteristics of the church,and it mainly starts from six aspects: orientation,plane type,fa?ade style,facade decoration components,decorative patterns and material structure.The general case analysis shows the general characteristics of the localization of church buildings.In addition,representative typical cases are selected from different architectural styles,such as the Gothic-style Hongjialou Catholic Church,the Roman-style General Temple Street Catholic Church,and the traditional Linjiazhuang Catholic Church.From the analysis of the social factors of church building localization to the study of its group layout,main building and subsidiary structures,and comprehensively grasping the localization process after the introduction of Western church buildings,the representative characteristics of the localization of modern Catholic church buildings in Jinan Diocese were finally obtained.Finally,it summarizes the localization characteristics of the modern Catholic church buildings in Jinan Diocese,and considers the reasons for its localization and explains its value.
