Research On Community Public Space Design Under The Community Pension Model

With the sudden "silver hair wave", senior housing issue has gradually become a heated issue. Community elderly care pattern is currently the best way to solve the senior housing problem. At present, the elderly care industry in China has developed rapidly and has obtained certain achievements. But there are still many problems in terms of positively and effectively improving the living environment for the elderly. Among them, how to further improve the public space quality of the aging community is particularly urgent.This paper firstly analyzes the characteristics of the aging population and the development process of the elderly care system in our country, systematically elaborates relevant theoretical research results at home and abroad and uses them as the theoretical references for the study in this paper. Secondly, it carries out field investigations on two kinds of community endowment modes- mixed type and populated residential type, focuses on the deficiencies in the community endowment practice in our country at present, summarizes the physiological and psychological characteristics, behavior characteristics and social characteristics of the elderly, studies the demand characteristics of the elderly for community public space, analyzes its impact on the public space design of aging community, and further puts forward the basic principles of public space design of community under the community elderly care pattern. Lastly, it puts forward the detailed design strategy for four major types of public space of aging community which are supporting life space, medical rehabilitation space, recreational space and outdoor activity space from the micro architecture design level.The aim of this subject is to start from the perspective of the needs of the elderly under the background of new era and strive to encourage the elderly to actively participate in public space activities through design means and create a positive living environment for the elderly. Meanwhile, the author hopes that this study can provide certain theoretical reference for the formulation, design and implementation of relevant policies.
