β-diketone compounds due to its special structure, have an important role in many fields, for example in the fields of the UV protection and the mechancial shine, for the preparation of new display equipment. Withβ-diketone compouds have been paid more attention to and will certainly to obtain increasingly broad prospect.In particular, ferrocene-containingβ-diketone transition metal complexes showed remarkable themal stability and mesomorphic character. We mainly described the appropriate methods to sythesize 1'-alkyferrocenylβ-diketones. Taking ferrocenecarboxylic acid as raw material,1'-alkyferrocenyl chloride were synthesized by esterification, the Friedel-Crafts, Clemmensen reduction, hydrolysis, acylation reaction.Over catalyst LDA,1'-alkyferrocenyl chloride separately react with Acetone,4-Methyl-2-Pentanone, through which 1'-alkyferrocenylβ-diketones were obtained. And we have abtained four transition metal chelates by the reaction of 1'-alkyferrocenylβ-diketones with M(Ac)2·nH20(M=Cu,Zn).The composition and the structure of the compounds have been characterized by elemental anaylses, IR spectra,1HNMR spectra and TG-DSCspectra.
