Today, geographic information system technology applications have penetrated into all sectors in all fields, whether in theory or in specific research on the application, have made tremendous progress. It is the basis of geospatial databases, with the support of computer hardware and software,to collecte,manage,operate, analy,simulate in Space-related data,and use of geographic analysis model,the timely provision of a variety of space and dynamics of the geographical Information for decision-making geography and geographical research services established computer technology systems. The field of the environment using GIS technology has many advantages, GIS for environmental assessment compared image, intuitive, data can also achieve the dynamic changes with environmental assessment , GIS , remote sensing and other information technology. Therefore, GIS and the organic integration of environmental assessment is necessary and feasible.In this paper, in-depth analysis of GIS features on the basis of domestic and international overview of the use of GIS technology for eco-environmental quality evaluation of the status, from remote sensing image of the ecological environment status information from the select band, band composition and image processing, and other information from Methods, and use the method of interactive visual interpretation of image interpretation, verification and field after field of statistics, to make Shaanxi Province and covers land-use data.
