Analysis On Global Environmental Development Problem And The United Nations

The problem of global environmental development,has become a main issue in contemporary international society, and also a relatively new subject in the history of the United Nations. The essence of it lies in the maintenance of harmonious coexistence of man and nature, and the sustainable development of society. The article based upon thorough and systemic research, aims at clear presentation and overall revelation of the devotion the UN has made in solving the global environmental development problem, the predicament the UN has faced, the evaluation upon the efforts already made and the prospect of it in the future, in order that people know better the evolution of the global environmental development problem, the position and function of the UN in the issue, and that the awareness of environment could be awaken, and some value can be drawn in the measures to be taken. The author appeals the international members, in face of global environmental crisis, cross the boundary of state, nationality, religion, social and cultural restriction, put efforts actively in the construction of international cooperation, new environmental order and for the mankind a sustainable future.
