As the Geography Information System(GIS) increasingly universal applied,it has permeated into each field now, so people's demands for its technique have increased continuously. The conventional 2DGIS which is running with the single computer can no longer satisfy people's request, however 3DGIS deserving serverely concern. Nowadays,3DGIS and WebGIS have been researched universally, and have formed a certain academic achivement. But, how to combine with them to research is rare, and it is more difficult to realize the rapid transfer of 3D spatial data in internet on the condition of the limitied bandwidth.So, there is important academic and pratical significance to unify these two kind of techniques at the day that people's demand for virtual reality is increasing and internet is more and more advanced. Nowdays, the researches on domestic and international at this aspect are placed in the stage of start, the technique is still not maturity.In the environment of that,this paper puts forward the method to realize 3D visualization in network based on WebServices with the foundation of theories developing in WebGIS and 3DGIS area.Because the expression and transfer of 3D spatial data based on WebServices is the combination of nework technique and 3D technique,so,firstly,this paper introduces the basic theories,methods,and analyzes the problems and development of current WebGIS;secondly,the author introduces and analyzes the construction and characteristics of WebService,the advantages of XML,then this papers points out that it can deal with the difficult problems of current WebGIS if we add WebServices and XML techniques to WebGIS;thirdly,the author puts XML forwords as the carrier of data expression and transfer,and institutes a suit of GML data format to use middle type as exchanging of heterogeneous 3D spatial data.
