The Design And Realization Of Tourism Information System Of The Keshenketeng International Geopark Based On WebGIS

Hexingten international GeoPark is located in the fantastic and remarkable KeshiketengQi. Plenty of geoheritages, profound geographic significance, abundant and rare resource of animals and plants, charming literature and history…they all bring a booming future to the tourist, and at the same time, it promotes a higher command for propaganda.WebGIS is a modern technology, which provides a real-time, accurate and convenient location information, and which is widely used in the department of electric power, environment protection, traffic translation and city planning. Now, the system, developed and published with WebGIS technology, is not only promoting the ability of management and protection of the tour resource, but also providing convenient to the tourist's outgoing and hunting for touring information, so that raising the service quality.After learning a large number of articles, this article has discussed the technology and developing direction about WebGIS. Through comparing several secondary developing technology about WebGIS and according to the total requirement, the system was decided to be developed with ArcGIS Server9.2, Visual C#.NET and other correlative technologies. The data used was based on the file of MXD and ShapeFile, which was dealed with ArcMap. Moreover, the property data was managed by Access 2000, and processed by ADO.NET. A mass of pictures using in the system was managed in a document. Besides, the system used the technology of Ajax. The two schemes above both enhanced the web access rate, promoting the user's visual impression. After designing the system framework and the database, editing the map data, designing the system UI and system functions, etc, the Tourism Information System of the Hexingten International Geopark was preliminarily established. The system fulfilled browsing keqi-map, map-attribute query, spatial data measuring, eagle-eye map, buffer analysis esc. Besides, the system had a link, which can access the web site of Hexingten international geopark, from which users can acquaint the newest information.Friendly interface,convenient operation,practicality,independence and extensible to develop ,these gathered up the strong point of the system.
