The unique karst geological heritage landscape group and "BoMiao" cultural sites of Xinwen world Geopark combine of a good mix of resources and greatly promote the development of Xinwen world Geopark geo-tourism industry. With the rapid development of the geo-tourism industry, the tourism market is more and more mature and competition. Along with the information epoch advent, tourists want to use information technology to inquiry the geo-tourism information and managers of tourist attraction also want to use information technology to establish full coverage of the management of scenic spots. As a result, to meet the tourism development the tourism GIS technology based on GIS technology has become more sophisticated. Based on five years’s field survey and a lot of technical literature, the study scratch the systems development model of Xinwen world Geopark tourism GIS technology. Based on five years’s field survey and a lot of technical literature, the study scratch the systems development model of Xinwen world Geopark tourism GIS technology.In the system design and implementation process, this study attempts a variety of scientific collecting and mining the formation of the map data, images, data and multimedia data, the formation of the science of spatial databases and thematic databases. On the basis of the scientific database, this study consider the requirement of both managers and tourists, to space operation and topic management as the target design and realization the tourism navigation subsystem and the tourism decision of environment management subsystem.For the distinction of the Tourism information system and reflect the park features, the tourism navigation subsystem firstly meet the basic requirements of the ordinary scenic inquiry service function. In addition, this system realize the tourism GIS spatial analysis as the feature, tourists can use this subsystem batch search the sight spot which they are interested. More importantly,the’system discuses the method on using optimal path analysis model and the ornamental Evaluation of the geological heritage model in Tourism GIS,and realize the optimal path analysis function which use the ornamental evaluation of the geological heritage model as the core value, tourists can use this subsystem organize the tourist routes scientifically.To reflect the tourism geographical information system decision support functions,this study Join the environmental capacity concept in tourism geographic information system design,and use the eological patk space capacity, ecological capacity,financial capacity and psychological capacity model calculating environment capacity base value in Xinwen world Geopark, providing a decision-making basis for Geopark managers, providing data support for travel forecast.Xinwen world Geopark Tourism GIS take full account of the tourists needs of the travel information and tourism industry influence on the geological heritage, design geological trace queries, optimal route navigation, environmental capacity analysis for the main highlights, realize the system functions including the tourist information searching and retrieval, spatial analysis, cheapest route analysis, feature management, environmental capacity analysis and multimedia presentations. The study and realization of Xinwen world Geopark Tourism GIS can promote sustainable development of Geopark tourism industry.
