Taxonomy Of Chinese Odontoceridae (Insecta: Trichoptera)

The thesis deals with the taxonomy of the Chinese Odontoceridae for the first time, bring the number of Chinese Odontoceridae fauna from 17 to 41 species in 3 genera of subfamily Odontocerinae,family Odontoceridae.In this paper,34 species are identified and studied herein,with 22 species new to science and 2 species new to China,10 originally recorded species are re-described and re-illustrated.Furthermore,the possible species groups in genus Psilotreta are explored,keys to Chinese genera and species are provided.Species distribution patterns in Chinese insect biogeographic regions are discussed as well.New species:Psilotreta anfracta sp.nov.,Psilotreta apiculata sp.nov.,Psilotreta applanata sp.nov.,Psilotreta bicruris Spo nov.,Psilotreta cuboides sp.nov.,Psilotreta dehiscentis sp.nov.,Psilotreta excavata sp.nov.,Psilotreta expers sp.nov.,Psilotreta grossa sp.nov.,Psilotreta horrida sp.nov.,Psilotreta monacantha sp.nov.,Psilotreta paulula sp.nov.,Psilotreta porrecta sp.nov.,Psilotreta rectangula sp.nov.,Psilotreta spinata Spo nov.,Psilotreta superposita sp.nov.,Psilotreta tenuispina sp.nov.,Psilotreta yunnanensis sp.nov.,Psilotreta vertebrata sp.nov.,Lannapsyche altilis sp.nov.,Marilia discaulis sp.nov.,Marilia megalopos sp.nov.New record to China:Psilotreta jaroschi Malicky,1995,Lannapsyche chantaramongkolae Malicky,1989.All specimens in this study including types are deposited in the Insect Collection of Nanjing Agricultural University,China.
