On Training Innovating Ability Of The Engineering Students In Physics Teaching

Innovation is an eternal topic during the process of civilization of human being. The contents and requests of innovation must be developing as the changing of the times.It was put forward at the national science and technology conference (2006) that our country should enter into the cavalcades of innovational country in 2020. The engineering education carries the responsibility of cultivating the innovating talent directly. As an important basic course for students of engineering, Physics is the main channel to improve cultural qualities of the students, also the hotbed of developing the innovation consciousness and innovating abilities of students.On the ground of educative theory, considering a lot of problems of physics teaching, we investigated the innovating states of students and their attitude of physics learning, etc.It is pointed out that the one of the critical obstacles of cultivating the innovating ability of engineering students in physics teaching is we ignored the engineering practice. Then, in teaching practice, we proved it is one of the effective ways improving the students' innovating abilities in engineering physics teaching: carry out inquiry teaching, meanwhile, pay attention to the connections of the physics with everyday life and engineering practice. At last, some ways of training the innovating ability of students in engineering physics teaching are pointed out.
