An Analysis To Heidegger's Concept Of Gestell

In Heidegger's thought of technology, the "Gestell" is no doubt a core concept. Unless we make it very clear to us, one cannot grasp his thought contains in this aspect completely, or understand the important status which the thought of technology has had in his entire thought earth, or comprehend the thought road with which Heidegger had attempted to inspire us through his thinking about technology. Therefore, if we want to know the Heidegger's idea about technology, we should have done our best to deal with this core concept. To my surprise and regret, when I began my research about the "Gestell", I find that although there are so many academic results about the concept in the domestic, but it seems there even isn't a completely and elaborately explanation on the "Gestell".This article attempts to fill the blank. Therefore, this article has drafted such writing plan: First, in order to clarify the thinking background of the concept and Heidegger's thought about technology , I will not only briefly inspect the meanings and the essence of the modern science in Heidegger's texts, but also promulgate the necessity of the concept "world picture", which determined by the essence of technology. Next, I will analyze the reasons of Heidegger's proposing the "Gestell", the basic meanings of the concept and the extending meanings of it. By this way, we will have an all-sided comprehension about the core concept. Once more, I will give a further analysis on the information of the saving power given by the "Gestell" and the roads by which we would be rescued according to these information .Finally, in the end of the article, a brief commentary to the Heidegger's thought about the "Gestell" will be made and carry on a brief summary to this article.
