The Analysis Of GM Technology On Life:Anti-Naturalness

With the Modem Molecular biology technology of revolutionary breakthrough,biological technology has developed rapidly,GM technology is the most typical representative.The relationship between technology and nature has been the hot spot in the field of science and technology ethics.The brisk developing of GM technology,especially recently,has aroused a more heated discussion on the issue.However,due to the dualistic precondition of technology and nature,discussion on technology does not devote sufficient attention to the technology itself.It cannot hit the nature of GM technology.Therefore,thinking on biological technology needs a new horizon.The original nature has provided such a reflection space.Based on Inherent principle,life in a natural state embodies three different levels:"autonomous growth","innate instinct" and "being-for-self",which indicates the full bloom of life from exterior to interior."Natural" technology maintains the integrity,"unnatural" one enters into the growth level,while "Anti-natural" tries to reform the true instinct.It is shift from "growth" to "instinct" that achieves a degree of qualitative change.Compared with "unnatural","Anti-natural" truly intrude into the internal structure of life,which attempts to complete artificial integration of life.History of technology development is changed history of typical technology.Through the concrete explanation of "Natural" ancient technology and "unnatural" modern,this paper will analyze GM technology under the context of modem technology,which mainly highlights the feature of GM technology:"Giant Gestell"."Giant Gestell" has controlled both external objects and inner realm of life.It is the invasion of life from outside to inside that has led to constant upgrading of "gestell".Therefore,this paper illustrates strong impact of GM technology upon life structure in two respects:"instinct"and "existence".Firstly,cross-species genetic recombination places instinct of life in artificial manufacturing process,it makes life deprived of true existence.Secondly,transformation of individual instinct will intrude deeper into whole eternal life,break life"co-existence" and interfere life "emergence",and this means life basic network will become increasingly shaky.In a word,GM technology's influence of intruding life should be regarded with some care.In addition to revealing "anti-naturalness" of GM technology,this paper hopes to provoke deep thinking of relationship between technology and nature.GM technology reflects contradiction between technology and life,which is the most fundamental structure.When inner message of life is inevitably presented to the audience,we should make choices on development of biotechnology,with our rationality.We are looking forward to the returning of life to natural home,we do hope we will walk for the marvelous future together with all life.
