Studies On The Plant Biodiversity Of Terraneous Plant And Application In Huangshi City

The biodiversity is not only the basis of maintaining the sustainable ecosystem productive forces, but also the foundation of human beings. On the basis of surveying (investigation) to the major resource of plant species and plant communities, the paper studied on the plant diversity in Huangshi city, which can provide the guidance for the protection of urban plant diversity and the construction of urban landscape.The plant species and communities were researched in the major mountains in Huangshi city. The results were given as following:1. Totally, there are 1018 species, 470 genera and 152 families of vascular plants, including 21 species, 34 genera and 58 families of pteridophytes;960 species, 436 genera and 131 families of spermatophytes. Gramineae, Compositae, Rosaceae, Papilionaceae with 80, 58, 47 and 43 species respectively, are the four most important families, contributing 22.4% of the total species.2. There are 13 national rare and endangered plants, including 4 species of the first national grade, 7 species of the second national grade and 1 species of third grade.3. The analysis of the families distribution pattern demonstrates that 14 types and 11 varieties of geographical elements exist, pantropic families cover the largest(21.79%),and north temperate families,cosmopolitan families, E.Asia&N Amer. Disjuncted families, old World temperate families, E.Asia families exist in turn.The flora is a distinct blending tropical families with temperate families.4. Common to all wildless native gardens are 458 species, which 35 pteridophytes,114trees, 107 shrubberies, 54 lianes and 151 herbs.5. In Huangshi city, the plant communities are plentiful. There are five vegetation types: evergreen broad-leaved forest, deciduous broad-leaved forest, mixed forest of ever green and deciduous broad leaf forest, evergreen coniferous forest, shrubbery.The average richness is above 70. Commonly, according to the species diversity index and richness index,the tendency is sa follows: shrubbery layer＞tree layer＞herb layer, but the tendency of evenness index is complex.Comapring to the different types of communities, the bioversity and richness index is as follows: mixed forest of ever green and deciduous broad leaf forest＞deciduous broad-leaved forest＞evergreen coniferous forest＞evergreen coniferous forest.6. In the plant communities, the ratio of average species of tree, shrubbery, herb is 1:3:2. The ratio of evergreen average species to deciduous ones is 2:1-1:4. In common, the ratio of individual amount of evergreen to deciduous plant is 5:1-1:5.7.
