The objects of higher vocational education are to work at the front of manufacturing and construction, being at the edge of science and technology innovation and industry adjustment. Therefore, they need not only proficient work skills but also abilities of consistent study and self - improvement, that is, self-study, cooperate study and life-long study abilities to adapt to the new times development; they need not only to acquire amount of science knowledge but also have better qualities and the ability of renewing the old knowledge.Higher vocational mathematics is one of the important basic subjects in higher vocational engineering majors. It should be taught based on respecting its scientific nature, but resisting its subject nature, emphasizing its application principle in subjects' reforms. This paper follows the principles of higher vocational mathematics classroom - teaching "appropriate standard, practical", starting with the aims of cultivating students' later study ability of their major subjects and life-long study ability to meet the needs of higher vocational educated talents being of higher-skilled application and practical mode. It studies the strategies of teaching students how to "learn to study" in higher vocational mathematics classroom and explores in classroom teaching, how teachers rely on constructivism and anthropologic theories to combine theories with practice to apply four teaching strategies - problem situation teaching, characteristic learning, autonomous creation experience teaching, construct participation and study form teaching in classroom teaching. It explores efficient ways of students learning to study in classroom. It helps solve the current mathematics classroom teaching inefficiency and the students don't know how to study.This paper took study methods of documentary and contrast analysis in classroom teaching, based on the theories of constructivism and anthropologist theories on study and teaching, to develop higher vocational students' modern study style, which are autonomous learning, investigative learning and cooperative learning. It analyzed the strategies theories about higher vocational classroom teaching and provided with a specific case study, following with a questionnaire result analysis to illustrate students' changes on study methods, learning ability and the study achievement. Finally it discussed the existing problems in higher vocational mathematics classroom teaching and the proposals for the future teaching reforms ways of learning mathematics of the higher vocational students.
