Research On Tourism Landscape Ecological Planning & Design Of Tianyu Drainage Area In Shaanxi Province

With the thriving development of tourism, Chinese tourism planningexperiences the resources guidance, the market direction and the sustainable evolutionphase after 20-years tourism planning practices. A scientific and reasonable planningoften can solve the problems of tourism and its environment effectively, and it canintegrate the protection of environment into the development of tourism perfectly.However, as one new discipline type, it must absorb many correlations discipline theorysystem to self-perfection in each development stage, so new conception, new methodand new discipline have important realistic meanings in applying in the practice oftourism planning.This study integrates landscape ecology principles and modern tourism theories byintroducing the cognitive methods of landscape ecology to natural environment systemand its thoughts to solve problem, and the paper applies GIS technology to a case studyof Tianyu drainage area in Shaanxi Province, by using the concise patch-corridor-matrixlanguage (PCM model) of landscape ecology and the maturer index system of landscapespatial pattern. The paper highlights the two planning aims——to develop ecotourismand to protect ecological environment. To attain these goals, the paper analyzes thepresent landscape patterns, and based on these synthetic analyses, the paper putsforward an overall planning scheme for Tianyu drainage area, and then, probes into thesubject from whole to part step by step, stresses three-scale planning and design——thewhole patterns in macrocosm, the functional districts in mid-scale, and the unit designin microcosm.The article introduces the landscape ecological sort of the Tianyu drainage area,and applies GIS technology to the picture of the present landscape patterns, according tothese picture in existence. This study chooses some indexes of landscape pattern in theTianyu drainage area, and presents the outcome, significance and planning means of theanalysis of landscape pattern. Based on the analysis of landscape pattern, this articlepoints out the means and goal of the landscape ecological planning & design for theTianyu drainage area, and then, puts forward an overall planning scheme for Tianyu drainage area. The study indicates the theme visualize firstly, then based on the wholepatterns in macrocosm it points out the functional districts in mid-scale. This articledivides the Tianyu drainage area into four landscape functional sections, and gives therelevant planning for every section. The systemic design for the tourism unit was doneulteriorly. And then the landscape ecological planning & design essential for every unitdesign in microcosm was pointed out. Finally, the planning & design for the mostlyservice functional section, corridor, environment protection and the basic establishmentwas done.The results show that the integrated theories of landscape ecology and tourism havesome of novelty in theory and feasibility in practice on landscape ecological planning &design of tourist resorts. They can satisfy the demands of sustainable development oftourist resorts, achieve the destinations that advocated in the landscape ecologicalplanning & design of tourist resorts, and offer theory guidance for the tourismexploitation of Tianyu drainage area.The innovation of the article is: using the landscape ecology principle, method inthe tourism landscape ecological planning & design of Tianyu drainage area, attemptingto make up the flaw of the traditional tourism planning, and exploring a harmony waybetween the tourism exploitation and the envirionment.
