Landscape spatial pattern of landscape ecology research,is one of today’s global change research focus.Landscape pattern and its change is a comprehensive reflection of the natural and man-made variety of factors interact to produce certain regional ecological environment, landscape patch type, shape, size, number and combination of space are not only a variety of interference factors interact result, the impact on the ecological processes of the region. Therefore, the study of the regional landscape pattern, is to reveal the ecological conditions and spatial variability of the effective means. Landscape evolution of the fundamental purpose is to discover the mechanism of natural and human activities on the environment and adjust their own behavior through the human, the optimal allocation of resources, control of ecological deterioration, and strengthen the planning regulation for the realization of regional and global sustainable development.Leading as the construction of the Straits, the Land use and landscape pattern of unprecedented change, therefore, the Fuzhou area as the object of study, the use of remote sensing and geographic information systems and related statistical analysis methods, systematic analysis of nearly change of spatial pattern characteristics of the Fuzhou area landscape and its ecological environmental effects, quantitative evaluation of the level of landscape ecological security, planning and design of the Fuzhou area of landscape pattern to environmental protection.Of this research is not only a clear understanding of the mechanism of the Fuzhou area ecological environment change of the ecological environment construction and to achieve the sustainable management of the landscape to provide a scientific basis, but also for the global land use-land cover change research to provide regional case.
