A Study On Disruptive Technology Innovation

With the political and economic integration, the arrival of the era of knowledge economy, and the increasingly rapid pace of the change of technological products, based on the newly emerged advantage theory, incremental technology innovation through which developing countries realize their striding development has lost its advantages. Faced with new situations, how to achieve new striding development? This thesis holds that developing countries should realize their striding development through carrying out disruptive technology innovation in the present situation.The thesis begins with the definition of technology innovation, discussing the connotations and essential characteristics of disruptive technology innovation. Thereafter, the paper compares the concept of disruptive technology with such related concepts as incremental innovation, original innovation, imitative innovation, and autonomous innovation. It is known that disruptive technology is a new technology corresponding to incremental technology. From the angle of the track of technology development, disruptive technology is another new track,therefore it is uncertain in technology and market. The ultimate creation of this technology will destroy original structure of enterprises, original competition rules of market and its fundamental subversion.In Chapter Three, the author analyzes the experience of Japan and various new situations in the current world, and draws a conclusion that developing countries should realize their striding development through disruptive technology. Then the author puts forward the unique value of disruptive technology: on one hand, it provides new direction of technology development for enterprises; on the other hand, it provides a new opportunity for the formation and cultivation of core competition ability for enterprises. In the end , the author analyzes in great detail the possibility of realizing technology stride through disruptive technology innovation.In Chapter Four and Five, from the micro perspective of the enterprise, the author conducts a detailed analysis of the difficulties in carrying out disruptive technology innovation, and then puts forward how to carry out disruptive technology from the aspect of strategies.The fundamental purpose of the thesis is to provide a new idea for the technology innovation of the enterprise in our country. The author argues that our country should realize its technology stride through the disruptive technology innovation, thereby realizing our economic striding development.
