Development Of Chengdu Graphic And Textual MIS Of Land Planning

Every year nearly one thousand of projects of using red line in land planning are completed by Chengdu Institute of Survey and Investigation. In order to accomplish every project successfully, it's necessary to look into much information of the adjacent land, to input the data of the adjacent boundary points into database, and to pigeonhole the articles of the ongoing project at the same time. All those works had to be done by hand before, and so many problems were aroused, such as low efficiency, difficult to query information and easy to make mistakes as inputting data into database, etc. The process of the projects was tampered by those problems.According to the results of analyzing the present red line data, the base graphs and the terrain graphs, the graphic and textual management information system of land planning of Chengdu is developed based on the works of Chengdu Institute of Survey and Investigation. The system can manage large amount of data of land planning efficiently, and those problems which exist in the projects of land planning are resolved successfully.The main contents of the paper are following:1. The GIS platform of SuperMap is analyzed in this paper, and the advantages of the platform are introduced. The platform SuperMap is selected as the platform to develop the graphic and textual MIS of land planning of Chengdu.2. A research on the feasibility of the technology which is used in developing the system is carried out. ComGIS which is one of the present advanced technologies is used to develop the system.3. The overall design and functional design of the system are carried out with the way of prototype according to the system object.4.
