Study On The Scientific Characteristics And Development Of Municipal Botanical Gardens In China

As representation of a city or a region's civilized level,the botanical garden is with responsibility for plant conservation, scientific research ,public education, tourism and exploration.With the development of society, economy and technology, China has more than 146 botanical gardens,and those belong to gardening and greening bureau are highly regarded and popular with municipal government and people, for their good environmental site, scientific content, abundant plants, beautiful landscape and contribution for city's greening.Several municipal botanical gardens' functions, planning and design, public education, operation have been investigated and collected, combined with each city's economy and civilization situation.The characteristics and expressional forms of scientific content have been analysed and summarized,and the emphases and trend for sustainable development of municipal botanical gardens in China have brought forward, in hopes of that could take a part in the construction of those new municipal botanical gardens.
