The Early-stage Development Of Chinese Modern Biology Due To Returned Students

Returned students played an important role in the forepart development of Chinese modern biology. They introduced modern biology theory, founded biology departments and started the concerned curriculum in the universities. They also organized Chinese own biology science group, originated the biology science magazines for Chinese scientific communion and made the biology science system gradually mature.First of all, the paper concerned the early-stage indraught and general situation of modern biology in China and the contribution the returned students did for the Chinese modern biology's spread, which includes clearing the concept of biology science, establishing the basement and aim, promoting the spread of Darwinism and Mendelism in China.Secondly, the thesis presents the early-stage development of the situation of modern biology science in China. In 1921, the important person to our country's modern biology science—Bing Zhi who returned from America after receiving PH.D of biology established the biology department in Nan Jing normal university firstly. After then, there were more and more biology departments established in most universities by the main power -returned students.
