21st Century is the time of knowledge economy, which requires people to be " compound" talents with some creative abilities. Therefore, the college students should be developed to be independents in college education, capable of going to the society independently, giving full play to their initiative, activity and creativeness, which is also the inevitable demand of our market economy. In the world, personality education has been put forward for many years, but the researchers have restricted their objects of study mainly to primary and middle school students, and their content mainly to the general regularity of education. In this paper, personality education is involved in college physics teaching, and the writer probes into some teaching techniques of the education.Presented in this paper are five parts. In the first part the background, current conditions, and purpose of the study are explained, with the definition of personality and the theoretical basis, development process and significance of personality education being introduced in the second part from different views. While in the third part four principles and three frameworks of personality education are put forward, and in the fourth part, the ways of carrying out personality education in college physics teaching are introduced, which are based on the research and analysis on the personality conditions of current college physics teaching. In the last part conclusion of the study is given, with the defects and the development direction of the study being pointed out as well.
