In Taihang mountainous area, it is the basic reason of vegetation destruction for a series of productive and ecological problems such as soil and water loss, flood, etc. To change this state, in this paper, human activity impact on landscape pattern and stability was discussed through comparative analyzing the landscape pattern in mountainous area with gneiss of Taihang, which offer scientific basis for the landscape ecological planning and resource rational distribution, improvement of the regional ecological environment, economic sustainable development at the high starting point. The major conclusions are as the following:1) Study areas include Fugangshanzhuang village and Houjiazhuang village, which represent two kinds of landscape types respectively. The total acreage of investigating area in Fugangshanzhuang is 233. 28hm~2 , most of hillside and agro-tourism has been built with high-standard ecological project. The area of woodland consists of the arbor forest and economic forest with high connective and relative is the largest, can be regarded as matrix. The total acreage of Houjiazhuang village is 240. 34hm~2, most of hillside are just deserted. The shrubbery and shrub grassland with low fragmentation and higher connection influenced the whole landscape greatly and can be regarded as matrix of this area.2) In Fugangshanzhuang, extension, connection, and fractal value of forest is higher in this area with low landscape diversity and evenness, higher landscape heterogeneity and stability, dominance and fragmentation. In Houjiazhuang village, fragmentation, dominance is low, but the landscape diversity and evenness is high. The difference of pattern of two areas is related with anthropogenic disturbance, stronger positive disturbance in Fugangshanzhuang while higher negative in Houjiazhuang.3) The distribute situation of vegetation with landform and physiognomy range affected landscape pattern stability, to some extent. Comparatively speaking, in Fugangshanzhuang, the woodland distribution is different in different altitude and slope gradient, from 530 meters to 1134 meters; arbor forest distribute vastly at mountaintop, hillside, and agro-tourism.
