The Study Of Bird Community And Species Diversity In Chagannor Wetland In Inner Mongolia

During 2001 and 2002, the bird communities and species diversity were studied in Chagannor wetland in Inner Mongolia. 116 species, which belonged to 14 orders, 31 families, were recorded in Chagannor wetland. And one new specie in Inner Mongolia was found. Six 100hm2 quadrates were studied. The investigation and statistics of the birds, vegetation and insects in these quadrates was taken. The relation of the index of bird species diversity, the index of evenness, the density of the different bird communities and the difference of the survival environments were analyzed.The dissimilarity of the bird species of the every quadrate was lager in June and smaller in October. The bird species were more in June than in October. The index of bird species diversity in descending order were No.1, No.6, No.4, No.3, No.2, No.5 in June and No.5, No.1, No.3, No.6, No.4, No.2 in October. The index of richness in order from large to small were No.6, No.l, No.4, No.3, No.5, No.2 in June and No.5, No.1, No.3, No.6, No.4, No.2 in October. The index of evenness in descending order were No.l, No.4, No.3, No.6, No.2, No.5 in Juneand No.5, No.3, No.l, No.6, No.4, No.2 in October. The density in descending order were No.l, No.6, No.3, No.2, No.4, No.5 in June and No.2, No.4, No.l, No.6, No.3, No.5 in October. The results indicated the difference of the index of bird species diversity, the density and the index of evenness was very large because of the difference of habitat and human disturbance. In the breeding season, the index of richness and the bird species diversity of the reed swamp and the sedge swamp was largest, which indicated the index of bird species diversity related mainly to food and covert condition. In the migration season, the degree of human disturbance, food and covert condition determined the characteristics of the bird species members and the index of bird species diversity in the different habitat in Chagannor wetland.The main problems which the birds in Chagannor wetland and the habitat of these birds were faced with were analyzed. And the conservation measures were suggested.
