Taxonomic Study On Chinese Hecalinae

Taxonomic Study on Chinese Hecalinae (Homoptera:CicadelIidae)Hecalinae blongs to Homoptera, Auchenorrhyncha.Cicadelloidea.lt is a fairly small group diagnosed by ocelli position and vertex shape on which there exist different viewpoints. Therefore, its taxonomic status varies among different taxonomic system.In China, there is only a few scholars have been involved in this field and no systematic taxonomy on this group, This study is to clarify the exact number of the species in China, to describe them, and to revise the current taxonomic system of the subfamily.This study is major in taxonomy of the subfamily Hecalinae from China, including its taxonomic resume, zoogeography and taxonomic status. As a result, a revised taxonomic system of Hecalinae is proposed, 2 new genera, 10 new species and 2 new subspecies are described, and 3 Cinese new records are reported.New taxa and new records to Chinese fauna are listed as follows:New genera: Acuminatepenisus, Serrapenisus, gen. n.New Species: Acuminatepenisus ferrugineus, Thomsoniella daliensis, Hecalus triundosus, Hecalus turritus, Serrapenisus p1atynus, Serrapenisus strangulates, Serrapenisus grossus, Serrapenisus leptus, Bumizana longa ,Bumizana recta, spp. n.New subspecies: Thomsoniella lineatus breviaeus , Linnavuoriella arcuatus sichuanensis, sspp. n.New Chinese records:Glossocratus koreanus Kwon, Glossocratus sulcatus, Glossocratus foveolatus Fieber, n. rec.The type specimens of the new species are deposited in Entomogical Museum,the Northwest Sci-Tech University of Agriculture and Forestry.
