The innovating of the content and the construction of teaching material is a principal content of reform on Physical teaching in the new century. At the beginning , this thesis has had a rough study about many Chinese and American teaching material; Then select two sets which are best-known in each country, and have an comparison between them in detail, which includes contents system, the pattern of discussing, the art of illustration, the arrangement of examples and exercises, the character of fitting for teaching, including the contemporary Physics knowledge and the development about students ' Physics intuition and perspicacity .etc. Summarizing their each characteristic , then on the base of these, I put forward my viewpoints about the teaching material in the future: it should resolve to implement "briefness replacing complexity", keeping the balance of the classics and the modern; it should simplifying enough the contemporary Physics knowledge; it should not neglect the renovating of the exercises; it should also pay attention to the development of students' Physics intuition . In addition, the author, about how to resolve the contradiction between the content and the class hours, advises one measure: we must assist the Physics teaching material by CAI.
