Exercises play an import part in the teaching material, and are also essential for students to digest, understand and master the knowledge. Good exercises can help strengthen the understanding of concepts, application of the skills, command of methods. Meanwhile, exercises can do a lot in stimulating students to show more interest in mathematics and training their abilities.For a long time, math exercises for vocational school students follow the mode in ordinary high school, which seriously limits the training of vocational school students' interest in math and abilities. Aiming at this problem, this dissertation tries to explore another mode that both fits for the vocational school students' reality and meet the needs of vocational education.Through the survey of vocational school teachers and students using exercises, I get to know about vocational school students' acquaintance of importance of mathematics, their attitude for math exercises, degree of difficulty, quantity of exercises, exercise patterns, content, functions of exercises, willing to improve and suggestions. According to the result of survey and analysis, study the differences among exercises for vocational school students and ordinary high school students in contents, format, quantity and degree of difficulty of exercises, and put forward that mathematics in vocational schools should be "necessary and sufficiency", "practical", "figurative", "proper and easy". Build the target framework for evaluating vocational school mathematics, and analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of exercises in current textbooks, I found that many deficiencies, old contents and forms, too much mechanic exercises of knowledge to skills, less interesting, less practical, not easy enough, less transitive steps, etc. Dissertation suggests to use project exercises to improve, solve the problems existing in vocational school mathematics teaching, conform to the contents of evaluation target framework, and is a proper practice mode for vocational school students.
