Research On The Influence Of Agricultural Socialization Service On The Production Behavior Of Small Farmers Under The Goal Of Modern Agriculture

Small farmers are the basic national conditions of China.The operation mode of small farmers resulting from large population and small land will exist for a long time in China.Small farmers are still an important agricultural production and operation subject in China at present and in the future for a long time.However,practical problems such as "aging weakening" of agricultural labor force,"fragmentation" of cultivated land resources,ecological environment pollution and slow promotion of science and technology are in conflict with the goal of basically realizing agricultural modernization by 2035.Making up the shortcomings of small farmers’ production has become one of the main goals of the national agricultural policy.Small farmers modernization is the key to promote small farmers,agricultural management of total factor productivity,agricultural socialization service is considered to promote small farmers with modern agricultural organic link bridge,which can effectively ease the small-scale operating labor shortages,insufficient funds and technology,such as constraints,then the production behavior of small farmers,improve agricultural total factor productivity.Therefore,centering on the scientific question of "how the socialized agricultural service affects the production behavior of small farmers under the development goal of modern agriculture",this paper firstly analyzes the basic situation of the socialized agricultural service and the operation of small farmers in China.Secondly,a logical analysis framework of "smallholders’ production behaviors-agricultural socialized services-modern agricultural development" was constructed,focusing on smallholders’ farmland abandonment behavior,large-scale operation behavior,green production behavior and so on for in-depth theoretical analysis.Thirdly,the micro-sample data of small farmers from Hunan,Jiangxi and Zhejiang provinces are used to empirically test these three behaviors.Based on the stochastic frontier method of technical efficiency,the influence of agricultural socialization service on the organic connection between small farmers and modern agriculture is further empirically analyzed.Finally,some policy suggestions are put forward based on the research conclusions.Specifically,the core research content and conclusions of this paper can be divided into the following five parts: The first part,first of all,analyses the evolution of China’s agricultural socialization service,development status and existing main problems,analysis found that the current agricultural socialization service is "the shortage of agricultural socialized service system" "agricultural socialization service structure mismatch between supply and demand" "agricultural socialization service supply regional imbalance between"three aspects.Secondly,it analyzes the current situation of smallholder production in China,including the historical evolution of smallholder production since the founding of New China,the main characteristics of smallholder production and the difficulties they face.The difficulties faced by small farmers in production mainly include three aspects: "it is difficult for small farmers to form large-scale operation,which leads to low agricultural production efficiency","it is difficult for small farmers to connect their production industrial chain with modern market,which leads to low value appreciation",and "it is difficult for small farmers to use agricultural science and technology,which leads to slow pace of agricultural modernization".The second part,based on Logit and Tobit model,empirically analyzed the impact of agricultural socialization service on farmland abandonment behavior of small farmers.The results showed that 15.3% of small farmers in Hunan,Jiangxi and Zhejiang provinces had farmland abandonment,and the farmland abandonment rate was 10.8%,indicating that farmland abandonment was a serious problem.Agricultural socialized services have a significant inhibiting effect on the farmland abandonment behavior of small farmers,and the agricultural socialized services in the four different links of ploughing,planting,prevention and harvesting all have a significant inhibiting effect on the farmland abandonment behavior of small farmers,among which the agricultural socialized services in the harvesting link and the farmland link have the greatest influence.The third part,based on the weighted least square method(WLS)empirical analysis of agricultural socialization service on small-scale operation behavior of small farmers.The results show that the average operation scale of small farmers in rice region of south China is 7.275 mu.The proportion of small farmers with farmland transfer behavior was 52.45%,and 40.53% of them transferred to farmland.Agricultural socialized service of small farmers and operation scale has significant role in promoting,specific to the plow,kind,and "four important link,the cultivated land of agricultural socialization service no significant influence on the scale of small farmers,the",and "three links of agricultural socialization service for small farmers have significant positive influence on the scale of business.Whether on the whole or divided into four links of "ploughing,planting,prevention and harvesting",agricultural socialization service has a significant promotion effect on smallholders’ farmland transfer behavior.In the fourth part,taking small farmers’ application of soil testing formula fertilization and organic fertilizer as an example,the influence of agricultural socialization service on small farmers’ green production behavior is empirically analyzed based on the two-variable Probit model.The results showed that the proportion of small farmers applying soil test formula fertilizer and organic fertilizer was 21.2% and 25.9%,respectively,and the overall proportion was relatively low.Agricultural socialized service plays a significant role in promoting the green production behavior of small farmers.The fifth part,based on the stochastic frontier method(SFA)based on technical efficiency,empirically analyzes the impact of agricultural socialization service on the organic connection between small farmers and modern agriculture.The results show that on the whole,agricultural socialization service can significantly improve the agricultural technical efficiency of smallholder production.In terms of different links,the socialized agricultural services of "planting,preventing and harvesting" have a significant positive impact on the agricultural technical efficiency of smallholders’ production,while the socialized agricultural services of cultivated land have no significant impact.Based on the above research,this paper puts forward feasible policy suggestions: Will be the important content of agricultural producer services as a prosperous industry,support the development of focusing on small farmers agricultural socialization service development,cultivate strengthen government guide market leading agricultural socialization service market,play to the village collective in promoting role in the process of small farmers to achieve the service scale operation,to strengthen the construction of agricultural infrastructure on reducing agricultural socialization service cost and risk,We will promote the development of socialized agricultural services,link small farmers with modern agriculture,and strive to basically realize agricultural modernization by 2035.
