| The process and results of innovation are often uncertain.The impact of employees’ innovative behavior on innovation performance is important,which is the necessary condition for the production of innovative achievements.Innovative work behavior(IWB)is the key factor of organizational innovation.However,previous studies have shown that it is not easy to establish a reliable model that can analyze employees’ behavior and help promote company innovation.Innovation may be affected by features from individuals,external environment and the interaction.Therefore,how to promote IWB has always been an important topic in academia.The theory of engagement can provide a new direction to solve the above problems.More attention has been paid to the theory of work engagement in management discipline.Work engagement helps to promote personal development and organizational performance,and ultimately forms the competitive advantage of enterprises.However,the previous work engagement theory did not clarify the technical context.Technology has become an important factor in promoting innovation.In the process of social and economic development,enterprises need to constantly change and strategically adjust,optimize and upgrade technology to adapt to the fierce market competition.Enterprise employees also need to apply more technologies to adapt to the dynamic changes.In the context of enterprise reform and strategic adjustment,business module and technology upgrading,more employees adopted various technologies.Can these technologies promote employees’ creative thinking,and then affect IWB? If technology is not applied well,it will not improve personal and organizational performance.If technology is not actively used,it will limit employees creative thinking and affect innovation and creation activities.Therefore,how to promote effective employee technology engagement(ETE)is the key to innovation and creation activities in complex dynamic environment.This paper studies this aspect in order to provide theoretical foundation and practical reference for innovation and creation practice activities of Chinese enterprises and other organizations.This paper focuses on the basic problem of how to maintain and improve employees’ ’ IWB depending on ETE,what are the key characteristics and structural dimensions of ETE,how does ETE affect IWB,what factors play the mediating and moderating roles in the relationship between ETE and IWB.This study uses systematic literature review methodology to make a qualitative content analysis on the meaning of previous engagement studies,finds out the constructive meaning and key characteristics reflecting the essence of ETE,identifies three main structural dimensions of ETE,namely technological behavior engagement,technological intelligence engagement and technological emotion engagement,and then constructs and verifies the scale,in order to provide the basis for the following empirical research.Then,based on the analysis of previous theoretical studies,this paper proposes that ETE can not only have a direct impact on IWB,but also have an indirect impact through the mediating roles of innovation resilience potential,technology innovation commitment and technology mindfulness from the perspective of resilience of innovation concern.The empirical research results support the hypothesis of its direct and indirect effects.This study continues to analyze the contingency effect that causes the direct relationship between ETE and IWB,and the indirect relationships through innovation resilience potential,technology innovation commitment and technology mindfulness to denote the boundary conditions.According to the analysis of previous theoretical research,this study proposes that social support factors including organizational climate support,leadership emotional support,family and friends support may play the moderating roles.The empirical results show that organizational climate support and family and friends support can play the moderating roles.Therefore,the control of these variables can effectively promote IWB.In order to further systematically analyze and understand the influence mechanism of ETE on IWB,this paper constructs a system dynamics model on the causal feedback relationships among ETE,IWB and action elements,and simulates the dynamic trend of ETE through experiments.The simulation results show that the IWB presents dynamic changes under the interaction of ETE and system elements.In addition,in order to verify the simulation results,this paper conducts descriptive case analysis to verify that the experimental results and case analysis results tend to be consistent,showing the effectiveness of the triangle mutual verification strategy.Then the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions are put forward.These studies provide theoretical contributions and practical references.Finally,the limitations are pointed out and the future research plan and directions are prospected. |
