| As China’s socialist construction enters a new era,economy in China has officially entered a new level of high-quality progress.The extensive economic development model that relied on factor input in the past has been unable to meet the new requirements for high-quality development.How to stimulate new momentum for economic growth,to accelerate the improvement of economic growth efficiency to promote high-quality economic development,which is not only an urgent problem that needs to be studied at present,but also an urgent problem to be solved in the future,and it is also an important theme that is widely attention by all departments of world.At the same time,the rapid development of the new generation of information technologies,and the in-depth integration between them and various fields of economic and social development has led to the rapid development of the digital economy.The digital economy has now become an important motor power for the high-quality development of my country’s economy.The digital economy takes cities as an important carrier,and the urban geographical space is also the gathering place of its resources.The development of the digital economy not only affects the economic development of local cities,but also affects the economic development of other cities,thus deepening the economic development between cities.connect.In addition,the contribution rate of urban digital economy to the development of my country’s national economy has continued to increase,and its role in the stable recovery and development of my country’s national economy has become more prominent.In addition,previous studies have mainly investigated the overall situation,but there are relatively few studies on the urban scale.Therefore,this paper focuses on how to cultivate and strengthen the digital economy to achieve a win-win situation between the growth efficiency of the digital economy and the high-quality development of the urban economy,It is expected to provide some experience and reference for China to formulate relevant policy recommendations to promote the development of the digital economy and the high-quality development of the urban economy.In view of this,this paper systematically analyzes the influence of the digital economy on the high-quality development of the urban economy from both theoretical and empirical levels.It will try to answer the following three main problems:(1)Does the digital economy affect the high-quality development of the urban economy?(2)If the impact is confirmed,what is the mechanism by which the digital economy affects the high-quality development of the urban economy?(3)How does the digital economy affect the high-quality development of the urban economy,is there a threshold effect and regional heterogeneity in the relationship between them,and what factors are related to this?The research content of this paper mainly includes the following seven aspects: First,it focuses on the study backdrop,study meaning,study target,study thinking,study detail,study modus and possible inventions of this paper.Second,sort out and analyze relevant literature on digital economy,high-quality economic development,and high-quality development of digital economy and urban economy.Third,discuss the theoretical analysis of the impact of the digital economy on the high-quality development of the urban economy.Fourth,analyze the measurement and characteristic facts of the high-quality development of the digital economy and urban economy.Fifth,empirically test the overall effect of the digital economy on the high-quality development of the urban economy.Sixth,empirically test the mediating effect of the digital economy on the high-quality development of the urban economy.Seventh,according to the existing research conclusions,put forward relevant policy suggestions,and also look forward to the future follow-up research direction and research content.Based on the above research,this paper draws the following main conclusions:(1)During the period from 2011 to 2019,my country’s urban digital economy index showed a rising trend.Among them,the digital economy index and various sub-dimension indexes of eastern cities in my country were always higher than those middle and western cities in my country.During the period from 2011 to 2019,the high-quality development index of my country’s urban economy showed a trend of declining to rising to falling to rising.Among them,the high-quality economic development index and sub-dimension indexes of eastern cities in my country were always higher than those middle and western cities in my country.Simultaneously,there is a positive relationship between the digital economy and the high-quality development of the urban economy.(2)The digital economy can significantly promote the high-quality development of the urban economy.Financial decentralization is not conducive to the high-quality development of the urban economy.The level of urbanization is not conducive to the high-quality development of the urban economy.The ecological environment level can significantly promote the high-quality development of the urban economy and financial development.The level can significantly promote the high-quality development of the urban economy,while foreign direct investment is not conducive to the high-quality development of the urban economy.Moreover,after considering various robustness tests such as replacing core explanatory variables,replacing explained variables,dealing with endogenous problems,and exogenous policy shocks,the benchmark regression estimation results are still robust.(3)The digital economy has a significant positive effect on the high-quality economic development of cities in different regions,and the estimated coefficients of the digital economy show significant heterogeneity in different regions.At the same time,the test results obtained by using the OLS estimation method show that the estimated coefficients of the impact of the digital economy on the high-quality economic development of eastern cities and middle and western cities are 0.0344 and 0.0104,and they are all statistically significant,which fully shows that the positive effect of the digital economy on the high-quality economic development of eastern cities is higher than the positive effect of the digital economy on the high-quality economic development of middle and western cities.The test results obtained by using the systematic GMM estimation method show that the estimated coefficients of the impact of the digital economy on the high-quality economic development of eastern cities and middle and western cities are 0.0245 and 0.0199,and they are all statistically significant,which fully shows that the positive effect of the digital economy on the high-quality economic development of eastern cities is higher than the positive effect of the digital economy on the high-quality economic development of middle and western cities.The test results obtained by using the OLS estimation method show that the estimated coefficients of the impact of the digital economy on the high-quality economic development of middle cities and outer cities are 0.0579 and 0.0431,and they are all statistically significant,which fully shows that the positive effect of the digital economy on the high-quality economic development of middle cities is higher than the positive effect of the digital economy on the high-quality economic development of outer cities.The test results obtained by using the systematic GMM estimation method show that the estimated coefficients of the impact of the digital economy on the high-quality economic development of middle cities and outer cities are 0.0518 and 0.0105,and they are all statistically significant,which fully shows that the positive effect of the digital economy on the high-quality economic development of middle cities is higher than the positive effect of the digital economy on the high-quality economic development of outer cities.In addition,when the digital economy and marketization are used as the threshold variables,there is a nonlinear relationship between the digital economy and the high-quality development of the urban economy,and the nonlinear impact of the digital economy on the high-quality development of the urban economy has an increasing marginal effect.(4)Human capital,technological innovation,and industrial structure upgrading all have intermediary effects in the impact of the digital economy on the high-quality growth of the urban strength,in that case,the digital economy does help to improve the high-quality development of the urban economy,but it relies on Human capital,technological innovation,and upgrading of industrial structure are needed to achieve this promotion effect,and the empirical conclusion is still robust.At the same time,human capital and technological innovation have mediating effects in the impact of the digital economy on the high-quality economic development of eastern and middle and western cities,middle cities and outer cities,There is no mediation effect in the influence process of high-quality economic development of middle cities and outer cities.The invention of this research is mainly displayed in:First,this research explores the impact of the digital economy on the high-quality development of the urban economy based on the theoretical level,and builds a theoretical analysis framework for the impact of the digital economy on the high-quality development of the urban economy.The existing literature mainly examines the impact of the digital economy on a certain dimension of economic and social development,but the analysis of the impact of the digital economy on the high-quality development of the urban economy from different dimensions and depths is not thorough enough.hence,based on the existing study outcome,this research creates a theoretical analysis framework including the overall effect and mediation effect of the digital economy on the high-quality development of the urban economy,in order to conduct an in-depth and comprehensive analysis of the influence of the digital growth on the high-quality growth of the urban economy.Specifically: on the one hand,the digital economy can promote the high-quality development of the urban economy;on the other hand,the digital economy can promote the high-quality development of the urban economy through three intermediary variables,namely industrial structure upgrading,technological innovation,and human resources.capital to achieve.These studies have expanded the theoretical boundaries of the existing research to a certain extent,and beneficially supplemented the existing related research results.Second,this paper constructs a relatively comprehensive index system for estimating the high-quality development standard of China’s urban developing.In the existing literature on the measurement of the level of high-quality economic development,most studies measure the level of high-quality economic development by constructing an indicator system.However,in the measurement of the high-quality development level of the urban economy,the existing literature mainly uses total factor productivity to measure.Therefore,based on the existing literature,this paper starts from the five dimensions of sharing,openness,greenness,coordination and innovation,and constructs an indicator system including 20 basic indicators to measure the high-quality development level of Chinese urban economy.Among them,two aspects of innovation input and innovation output are considered in the innovation dimension;urban-rural structure,industrial structure,and inter-city coordination are considered in the coordination dimension;environmental pollution and environmental protection are considered in the green dimension;The open dimension considers two aspects of trade dependence and foreign investment;in the shared dimension,four aspects of income,consumption expenditure,medical care,and teachers are considered.At the same time,in the measurement method,this paper uses the entropy weight TOPSIS method,which can not only avoid the subjectivity of the index weight assignment,but also make full use of the objective information reflected by the original data.Third,based on the existing literature,this paper studies the overall effect and mediating effect of the impact of the digital economy on the high-quality development of the urban economy from a theoretical level,and the three mediating variables are industrial structure upgrading,technological innovation and human capital.At the same time,when studying the impact of the digital economy on the high-quality development of the urban economy,this paper uses the panel fixed effect model,the difference generalized moment estimation method,the system generalized moment estimation method,the ordinary least squares method,the two-stage least squares method,and the propensity score method.The measurement methods such as matching double difference method,panel threshold model and mediation effect model have been fully empirically tested from the overall level and the regional level.Therefore,on the one hand,this will help clarify the relationship between the digital economy,human capital,technological innovation,industrial structure upgrading and the high-quality development of the urban economy,and on the other hand,it provides a factual basis for promoting the development of the digital economy and realizing the high-quality development of the urban economy. |
