Research On Township Complex Based On Urban-rural Continuum And Event-space Theory

Towns and townships connecting cities to villages are undergoing deconstruction and reconstruction in different degrees in many aspects,such as economy,society and culture.Villages and towns should not stay in the initial stage of urbanization for a long time,nor need comprehensive urbanization,nor can they move towards anti urbanization.How to find their own positioning between the two poles of cities and villages has become an urgent problem to be solved in China’s urbanization of villages and towns.From the perspective of global trends,the differences and boundaries between cities and villages are gradually dissolving and blurring.Villages and towns are no longer a heterogeneous space that can be clearly judged,but a gradual continuum between urban and rural poles.The mixed urban-rural characteristics of township complex make it of great significance in the construction of urban-rural continuum.It is a collection of township public service facilities,but it is not a simple superposition of functions;It provides a fair supply of public services rather than absolute equality,while maintaining individual differences;It promotes the citizenization of the rural population,but at the same time,it continues the traditional core of the countryside while disciplining the new way of life.The research on Township complex is not only a summary of the historical evolution of township public service facilities,but also an assumption of the future trend.The research demonstrates the definition,necessity,feasibility,spatial construction principles and planning strategies of township complex as one of the solutions for township reconstruction,which are tested by practice.The paper adopts the research path and content system of "macro cognition-Value Survey-system construction-optimization strategy-practical test",and adopts the strategy of reasoning + demonstration in the method.The paper consists of six parts : the first part is the introduction,which points out the necessity and urgency of the research from the background and significance,defines the concept of township complex and differentiates it from the approximate concept;The second part expounds the role and significance of towns and townships in constructing urban-rural continuous transition space(RUC)between urban and rural poles.It is proposed that the construction of public space in towns should take the events in the space as the core and activate the space with events.The study enumerates the interaction between events and space in the event mode with typical Township characteristics;The third part includes the vertical research on the historical evolution of township public service buildings and the horizontal research on overseas township public service buildings.This paper analyzes the continuous impact of landmark events in various stages of history on the spatial environment of Chinese villages and towns,combs the design strategies of public buildings in similar overseas villages and towns,and provides historical data and sample reference for subsequent strategy research.The fourth part focuses on the three key elements of the construction of urban-rural heterogeneous event space-experience difference,cultural difference and environmental difference,expounds the role of the three elements in the construction of urban-rural difference narrative system,and leads to the subsequent construction strategies of township complex space at the meso and micro levels.The fifth part,on the one hand,analyzes the feasibility and necessity of the township complex and the mechanism behind it.On the other hand,it expounds the design strategy of the township complex from the perspective of events and narration.Put forward the network model of township complex at the macro level,establish the layout strategy of township complex under different conditions at the meso level,and explain the narrative construction method of township complex from six aspects of space,form,boundary,things,materials and environment at the micro level.The sixth part,through the practice of four Township complexes in Southwest Hunan,demonstrates how to use the design strategy of township complexes to create the goal of constructing the event space of urban-rural continuum,and summarizes the experience and lessons through post use evaluation,so as to provide necessary argument support and negative correction for theoretical deduction.
