Accidental discovery in scientific research can not be separated from the lighting of encountering information,which leads the individual psychology to realize insight,connection,empathy and meditation.Individuals transfer from accidental passive acquisition to active search.Non-linear and linear information search behaviors co-exist or succeed each other,and contingency and necessity interweave.Information encountering has potential value,hoping to solve scientific problems and puzzles.Under the mobile Internet environment,information encountering behavior is more likely to happen and become a common phenomenon in daily life.Academic new media,and for the purpose of scholarly research including academic APP,academic virtual community,academic We Chat account,academic social networks and academic blog and other diversified types,bearing the rich academic resources,has a large base of scientific researchers,the user can focus on each other,leave a message,follow each other,etc.,to form the relationship between the social network,without being limited by the physical space,It is helpful to alleviate the information island phenomenon of researchers.At present about academic new media information behavior research mainly focus on the initiative of communication,interaction,sharing and contribution,continuous use,scientific research cooperation behavior,passive information behavior has been ignored.Under the academic new media environment,users accidentally obtain useful or interesting information gradually becoming normal.Multiple areas at home and abroad have focused on information encountering.The research on information encountering in the field of library and information field is increasing gradually.The information encountering process model includes five steps: noticing,stopping,examning,capturing and returning,which are shown as before,during and after the encountering.At present,there is no psychological and cognitive analysis of the causes,perceived changes and subsequent adoption of user information encountering behavior in the academic new media environment.It is necessary to combine the user's perceptual psychology to analyze the information encountering phenomenon and explore the value of encountered information,to increases the probability of scientific discovery.This article mainly analyzes the behavior mechanism of academic new media users' information encountering under process perception,the influencing factors before the information encountering,the cognitive evolution of users during the information encountering,the user information adoption path after the information encountering,and the perception and adoption strategies that promote information encountering.The author conducts research from these five aspects.(1)Analyze the mechanism of information encountering behavior of academic new media users.Based on the ternary interactive determinism of individual,environment,behavioral factors and the general mode of human behavior S-O-R(that is stimulus-individual psychology and physiology-response),combined with the characteristics of academic new media and the concept of information encountering,the elements of the academic new media information encountering behavior are divided into: academic new media users,information encountering environment,and academic information.Under the model of information encountering process and process-perception,the behavior process of academic new media users' information encountering behavior is analyzed: before the encounter-during the encounter-after the encounter.Integrating perception into the information encountering behavior process,constructing a new academic media user information encountering process perception model,giving the academic new media information encountering behavior mechanism model,including 5 sub-mechanisms,namely the attention trigger before the information encountering,the middle in the information encountering is Flow experience,cognitive connection,perceptual control,and behavioral feedback after information encountering.Finally,the author deeply analyzed 5sub-mechanisms,and analyzed the relationship of process and mechanism,and the evolutionary relationship between five sub-mechanisms.(2)The influencing factors leading to the information encountering behavior of academic new media users before the encounter.Based on the ternary interactive determinism,S-O-R model and technology acceptance model,analyze the influencing factors of information encountering behavior from the user dimension,information dimension and environment dimension of academic new media,and give a theoretical hypothetical model of the influencing factors of academic new media user information encountering behavior.The information dimension includes information characteristics and information quality.The environment dimension includes platform availability and platform diversity.The user dimension includes curiosity,perceived usefulness,perceived control,prior knowledge,and information encountering behavior.There are 9 variables and 10 hypotheses.Through the questionnaire survey of users who have experienced information encountering behavior on academic new media platforms,the questionnaire design items involve the setting of whether information encountering behavior has occurred,to exclude users who have not experienced information encountering behavior;then use the structural equation model(SEM)examples verify the rationality of the hypothetical model.Research results: Information characteristics,information quality,platform availability,and platform diversity all have a significant positive impact on perceived usefulness;prior knowledge has a significant positive impact on perceived usefulness and perceived control,and information characteristics significantly affect users' curiosity psychology;curiosity,perceived usefulness,and perceived control significantly positively affect information encountering behavior.(3)The cognitive evolution of academic new media users in the information encountering behavior.This article uses interviews to obtain psychological,emotional,cognitive,and behavioral data of academic new media users when they had information encountering experience.A total of 15 academic new media users who have experienced information encountering were interviewed.Since the academic new media mainly serves scientific research workers and mainly provides academic information services,the author focuses on postgraduates and university teachers,and has obtained more than 45,000 words of interview materials.Then,according to the grounded theory of open coding,main axis coding and selective coding,38 initial concepts,19 initial categories,and 8 main categories were obtained,and finally the evolution of user cognition in information encountering behavior was obtained.Finally,the situation of user cognition evolution in information encountering behavior is obtained,and a cognitive evolution model of academic new media users' information encountering behaviors is constructed.The cognitive structure during the cognitive changes in the academic new media users' information encountering behavior has undergone the process of assimilation,accommodation,schematic affiliation and meaning construction,and finally formed a new cognitive structure network,and combined with the sense-making theory to interpret the user's cognitive gap,cognitive discontinuity and the crossover of the cognitive connection.The author also explained the meaning of cognitive evolution.(4)The decision path configuration of academic new media users' information encountering adoption behavior.Based on the Elaborate Processing Possibility Model(ELM),Information Adoption Model(IAM),Technology Acceptance Model(TAM),and Perceived Value Acceptance Model(VAM),the motivations of academic new media users' information encountering adoption behaviors are extracted.The motivations include:information quality,credibility of information sources,perceived usefulness,perceived benefits,cognitive structure,curiosity,and perceived cost.Through the questionnaire,the motivation data of academic new media users' information encountering adoption behaviors are obtained.Use the fuzzy set qualitative comparative analysis(fs QCA)in the qualitative comparative analysis(QCA)method to test the configuration of the information encountering adoption behavior,and obtain the truth table and necessity after data calibration(completely subordinate,cross-point and completely non-subordinate)condition analysis,configuration sufficiency condition and result robustness analysis have obtained 7 paths that influence the adoption behavior of information encountering behavior,that is 7 configuration results.The author explained these 7 paths.(5)Proposed the perception and adoption strategies of academic new media users before-middle-after information encountering behavior.Stimulus characteristics significantly affect the occurrence of information encountering,and attention triggers are realized from the perspectives of information quality(information content,information source)and information characteristics(information representation and information title)before the information encountering bahavior.The cognitive psychology and emotional emotions of users in information encountering are constantly changing.From the perspective of cognitive connection,information related to encountered information,perceived control and information encountering ability literacy,it helps users realize the semantic interconnection of encountered information and prior knowledge.A good understanding and research on the role and value of information encountering behavior;Finally,strategies for promoting the adoption of information encountering behavior in academic new media are given,from the perspectives of platform availability,incidental information resource association,and online word-of-mouth of academic new media,to enhance the adoption of information encountering behavior to realize the value of information.This research has enriched the theoretical system of academic new media information behavior.Information encountering behavior is a neglected,passive,non-linear information acquisition or retrieval behavior.From the perspective of process perception,the information encountering behavior process is divided into three stages: front-middle-back,and user perception is integrated into these three stages.The information encountering behavior mechanism,the influencing factors that trigger the information encountering before the encounter,and the the cognitive evolution of users in the middle of information encountering and the adoption behavior after the information encountering.It is helpful for in-depth understanding of the information encountering phenomenon,enriching the information behavior model.At the end of this article,we give out information encountering behavior perception and adoption strategies,which provide a new perspective for the adjustment of academic new media platforms and academic knowledge service systems,optimize satisfaction of the knowledge services of academic new media.
