With the development of computer technology,infiltration of digital reading and popularization of personal digital terminal equipment,here comes the era of digital textbook.As a major carrier representing technology energizes learning,digital textbook,which plays an important role in transforming human learning methods in the digital era,will bring its advantages and functions into full play with the help of efficient content organization.Unlike traditional textbooks,digital textbook poses severe challenges to content organization as it is characterized by large information capacity,multiple functions and complex structures.Therefore,this study,based on human cognitive rules,discusses relevant issues about the content organization of digital textbook with the aim of balancing cognitive load under the guidance of improving learning efficiency of digital textbook.This paper analyzes current research status through literature review,discusses the connotation of the concept“content organization of digital textbook",goes over the aim,steps and methods of content organization and summarizes current research status of content organization of digital textbook,which has such problems as mono-perspective in research and lack of theoretical support.Through discussing theories of cognitive load,this paper also reveals internal relationship between content organization and cognitive load,and establishes the content organization research framework based on cognitive load theory.Based on the theory framework and practice of the content organization of digital textbook,this paper makes a detailed discussion of the content organization of digital textbook according to three sections of content organization.Firstly,this paper investigates what factors influence the content selection of digital textbook,proposed a content selection orientation based on learners' prior knowledge,analyzes content selection of digital textbooks for different subjects and at different learning levels,and makes content selection suggestions aimed at learners'cognitive process and personal preferences.Secondly,this paper discusses the framework of digital textbook content at three levels of digital textbook content structure:macro level of overall structure,middle level of unit structure and micro level of curriculum structure,analyzes how the content structure of digital textbook organizes,what subjects and learning levels it applies for,teaching aims and so on.At last,this paper explains the multimedia feature of digital textbook content and its influence on learning efficiency,expounds features and application scenarios of various media in digital textbook from content representation perspective and further studies ways of presenting content by multimedia combination.Presentation and design of content clues,including metaphor clues,signal clues and social clues,are also studied.This paper comes to the conclusion that the content organization of digital textbook should be always in line with learners'cognitive rules and cognitive characteristics.And the introduction of cognitive load theory into the field of content organization of digital textbook will help develop theories and practice of the content organization of digital textbook.
