The Ricaniidae belongs to the superfamily Fulgoroidea(Hemiptera:Auchenorrhyncha)with more than 460 species 60 genera around the world.Thereinto 36 species 5 genera are recorded in China.This present thesis studies the taxonomy of Ricaniidae,on the basis of which internet technology is introduced and Apache +PHP+My SQL is adopted to develop a web-based dynamic identification system towards all insects.Such a system helps achieve the fast-paced identification of Ricaniidae,providing a platform and database for those who work on the taxonomy of all insects.The main research contents and results are summarized as follows:1.Taxonomy39 species of 7 genera of Ricaniidae in China are recorded in this thesis including 2 new genera,17 new species,6 new combinations.Keys are given to generic and specific taxa concerened.The descriptons and illustrations are provided for the new taxa.New taxa studied in this study are listed as follows:New genus(2):Quadratus gen.nov.,Ricanuloides gen.nov..New species(17):Euricania quadrata sp.nov.,Pochazia expansprocess sp.nov.,Pochazia tortiprocess sp.nov.,Pochazia abatana sp.nov.,Pochazia longifissilis sp.nov.,Ricania pallenspunctutus sp.nov.,Ricania prominanus sp.nov.,Ricania caudiprocess sp.nov.,Ricanoides melanicus Zhang & Chen,2014(previously published),Ricanoides liboensis Zhang & Chen,2014(previously published),Ricanoides rotundatus Zhang & Chen,2014(previously published),Ricanuloides expananus sp.nov.,Ricanuloides longidorsala sp.nov.,Ricanuloides quadrianus sp.nov.,Ricanula latihooka sp.nov.,Ricanula longispina sp.nov.,Ricanula ciriprocess sp.nov..New combinations(6):Quadratus taeniata(Stal,1870)comb.nov.(From Ricania),Quadratus fumosa (Walker,1851)comb.nov.(From Ricania),Pochazia speculum(Walk,1851)comb.nov.(From Ricania),Ricania zizzata(Chou & Lu,1977)comb.nov.(From Pochazia),Ricanoides pipera(Distant,1914)(previously published)(From Ricania),Ricanuloides cacaonis(Chou & Lu,1977)comb.nov.(From Ricania).2.Network identification system developmentIn this paper,the design,the functional requirement and the application of network identification system development are analyzed in detail.Using the network identification of Ricaniidae as an example,the development process for the network identification of insect,the digital standards of related information and the data prepared for the network identification of insect were regulated.The way of characteristic code was introduced to eliminate repetitive identification in some larger groups.The idea was proposed that different models are given to solve the problems of recombination of taxa in large biological databases.By this system,users can build shared database or independent database.In this system every characteristic for identification was given a different field.The system is very easy to use because the order and number of characteristic for identification can be regarded.A simple one-click installer for this system was provided through integrating three softwares,namely,PHPnow,php My Admin and Empire Bak.By using the installment and operating instructions it is very easy to build a personal network identification system for taxonomists.The computer technique and the Entomological taxonomy were combined organically,so this system is not only a network identification system for the family Ricaniidae,but a very good tool to share identification and related information of insects in network.Users can visit the website http://ricaniidae.gzkc.org/ to experience the demonstration of the system.
