| As the international division of labor becomes more specific and refined, the proportion of producer services trade in international trade is also growing rapidly. The producer service industry is subordinate to the service industry and is a high value-added industry characterized by knowledge and technology intensiveness. It plays an increasingly important role in the development of the service industry. The development of China’s producer service industry started late and the development level is generally low.At present,it is still dominated by traditional labor,resource-intensive industries such as transportation, wholesale and retail, and modern service industry characterized by knowledge and technology intensive development in China. It is relatively slow and the development level is relatively low, which has led to the low international level of China’s producer service trade. Therefore, analyzing the status and influencing factors of the international competitiveness of China’s productive service trade is conducive to the clear positioning of the development of China’s productive service industry, and has important theoretical and theoretical aspects in formulating production service development policies and optimizing the path of trade competitiveness improvement. The influencing factors of the international competitiveness of producer services trade are divided into two aspects: supply factor and demand factor. The international competitiveness of productive service trade depends on the development level of the producer service industry. The higher the level of its own development, the stronger the international competitiveness of trade. Therefore, the influencing factor of the development of producer service industry is the international competitiveness of productive service trade.Influencing factors. From this perspective, the supply factors affecting the development of producer services trade include basic elements such as capital and labor. In addition, considering the characteristics of productive service industry and technology-intensive industries, human capital and technological level also affect factors. The international competitiveness of producer service trade;the demand side influence factors can be divided into two aspects: domestic demand and foreign demand.Domestic demand affects the international competitiveness of producer service trade by affecting the development of producer service industry. On the other hand, foreign demand is mainly reflected in the impact of the overall scale and structure of foreign trade on productive trade in services.Based on this, this dissertation firstly constructs the theoretical framework of "theoretical basis-action mechanism ",systematically combs and analyzes the theoretical basis of the international competitiveness of productive service trade. The evolutionary mechanism is based on the demand side and supply side influencing factors to construct the evolutionary path of China’s productive service trade international competitiveness.Secondly, using RCA,MS,TC and other different indexes to measure the international competitiveness of China’s productive service trade, and compare and analyze with the BRICS countries,G7 countries and countries along the “Belt and Road” to China’s productive service trade international The level of competitiveness is fully characterized and accurately positioned.Thirdly, based on the supply side factor and the demand side factor, this dissertation analyzes the internal influence mechanism of the international competitiveness of the producer service trade from the overall and sub-industry factors. Finally, from the aspects of policies and regulations, personnel training, industrial structure, and foreign trade openness,it proposes relevant countermeasures to enhance the international competitiveness of China’s productive service trade. The conclusions of the study mainly include: First, the export growth rate of China’s producer service trade shows a U-shaped structure that first declines and then rises, indicating that the export situation of China’s producer service trade has improved significantly;the export growth rate is far lower than its import growth rate. This proves that China’s producer service trade has long been in a deficit development reality.Second, the total volume of China’s productive services trade ranks first among the BRICS countries, but its trade competitiveness is at a general level, and it is far behind the developed countries such as G7;China is labor intensive in processing and maintenance, transportation services and construction services. The type of producer service industry has strong competitiveness, but it still relies heavily on foreign knowledge-intensive production services.Third, human capital investment, foreign direct investment, and technological innovation have a significant positive impact on the improvement of China’s production and service industry’s international competitiveness.Among them, the impact of technological innovation supply is the greatest, and the impact of these factors on different industries is presented. There is a significant difference.Fourth, the demand scale effect and self-enhancing effect of the service industry show a very significant positive effect. The service industry is more powerful than the manufacturing industry;there is a “threshold effect” between the manufacturing industry and the producer service industry. The more developed regions, the higher the level of foreign trade exports, the more obvious the hindrance to the development of producer services trade;the resource and labor-intensive industries have a hindrance to the development of productive services, and the knowledgeand technology-intensive industries have a promoting effect.Fifth, the processing industry has a significant role in promoting the modern producer service industry, and has a hindrance to the traditional producer service industry. The “self-enhancement” effect of the service industry drives the development of the producer service industry, and the industry-oriented service industry and trade. The empirical results of the structure also support this view. The producer service industry is strongly associated with the manufacturing export industry. Therefore, the producer service industry in the eastern region is more affected by the trade structure. Finally, the scale of trade has a significant positive impact on the improvement of China’s international competitiveness in producer services trade. But because China’s service trade has been in deficit for a long time, the scale of foreign trade has a limited impact. In summary, the huge trade deficit in China’s productive services and the large gap in trade competitiveness with developed countries reflect that there is still much room for improvement in China’s productive services. In view of this, this dissertation provides a logical and self-consistent theoretical analysis framework for the research on the international competitiveness of China’s productive service trade. It uses a variety of methods to comprehensively portray the trade competitiveness of China’s productive service industry and compare it with the BRICS countries.Comparative studies between the G7 countries and the countries along the Belt and Road, overcoming the limitations of existing research comparing China with a specific member of a certain international organization, and finally producing China from two different perspectives of supply side and demand side. The development of trade in services provides an optimized path.Due to many restrictions, there are many shortcomings in research work. The conclusions present the limitations of this paper and the prospects for future research. |
