With regard to economic globalization, the quickening growth of contemporary service industries has widened and deepened the division of labor in international value chains and changed how benefits are distributed globally. The worldwide division of labor has started to shift from manufacturing to services at the same time that digital technology has empowered international trade in services.Productive service trade in China is expanding quickly and it has taken center stage in the country’s present economic development.According to the 20th National Congress of CPC,it is critical to actively seize the new industrial revolution and global value chain restructuring prospects,to boost its position and competitiveness across the global value chain. Therefore,it is critical to study the factors which influence the international competitiveness of China’s trade in productive services under global value chains to achieve its high-quality development under the new development pattern. The dissertation firstly analyses the current development and competitiveness of China’s trade in productive services in the global value chain through the scale, structure and regional distribution of China’s trade in productive services under GVCs,its GVC participation and relevance,as well as the MS Index,RCA Index,TC Index and MI Trade Competitiveness Index.Secondly, based on the current development status, characteristics and competitiveness of China’s productive services trade in GVCs,it analyses the influence mechanism of China’s productive services trade competitiveness in GVCs by combining Porter’s diamond model with six factors:R&D investment, consumption potential, trade in goods, foreign direct investment, openness of service industry and the formation of GVCs.Then it develops a multivariate regression analysis model to quantify the factors influencing the competitiveness of China’s productive services trade under GVCs and investigates the level of impact of each variable on the global competitiveness of China’s productive services trade under GVCs.Finally, based on the results of the research and empirical analysis on the improvement of China’s international competitiveness in productive services trade under GVCs,it puts forward suggestions for its competitiveness improvement at both macro and micro levels. The dissertation will offer fresh ideas for China to expand its high-quality,productive services trade under GVCs,enabling it to seize the chance to modernize and change its sector in the upcoming round of global value chain restructuring. The innovation of this dissertation is to investigate the factors influencing the international competitiveness of China’s productive services trade under GVCs from a newer perspective, while incorporating the influence of GVCs themselves into the model, and to screen and analyze the indicators more thoroughly and scientifically, which is more relevant to the actual situation. In the era of the new growth pattern of the double cycle, this is more advantageous for exploring the development potential of China’s productive services trade, encouraging its active evolution towards the higher end of the GVCs,and boosting its level of international competitiveness.
