Research On Publications Related To The Four Books And Their Publishing Process In The Late Qing Dynasty

The study of The Four Books is the core of Neo-Confuciansm.There is few way but publishing and circulating books for ideology spread due to the limitation of material conditions in the Late Qing Dynasty.So far,the basic research of The Four Books in the Late Qing Dynasty is not enough.There are certainly some research on few famous character or study,therefore,some of those studies lack of macroeconomic visiom on The Four Books.The history of Neo-Confuciansm pays more attention on the relationgship between Neo-Confuciansm,Han academic and Western Culture.While the history of publishment emphasizise on the sptea and development of new methods of publishment.There are huge inquiry of space to research the regularity of development and the reasons of change.This paper is the comprehensive transcript of The Four Books for the first time,which compiles bibliography for more than 200 articles that first published in the Late Qing Dynasty.The Second part of this paper furtherly details the edition,creation,and academic values of The Four Books studies at that time,and on that base,concludes the wholy characteristic by comprehensive analysis,and lays a foundation for future research.This paper also corrects lasting mistakes of edition.This paper attempts to explore the changes of academic ideology by analizing the quantity changes of writing format,congceptial confusion,flexible and fusion boundary,also attempts to offer some supplements and improvements on the regional view,through analizing the geographical distribution of The Four Books studies.This paper also discovered some cases which the situation changes directly affect the publishing of The Four Books.
