"Dian-shi-zhai pictorial" is the lithograph newspaper which issued first at China by British businessman Ernest Major in1884, and use this form to depict and record the scene of the time when news, events, anecdotes, society,citizen are developed rich and colorful.Pictorial founding great success,and it bring enormous influence to mass communication.This article analyse on the point of view of the newspaper’s management strategy,the main use of research methods:text research, summarized research. First of all,take the social culture, city development as the performance of object of’Dian-shi-zhai pictorial "to research; to analyse at the social background of how the pictorial birth and about pictorial audience. Secondly, to analyse the business strategy at the media which the pictorial relying on when operating—Shen Daily office system、Shen Daily and other strategy.Reviewed in the three stage which for Ernest Major to explore the picture publishing market.Finally,in-depth analysis of the printed image strategy and business strategy from the management perspective.
