The core goal of higher education is to train talents.The nation has formulated a series of funding policies to help students better complete their studies and become talented.The Work-Study program is an important part of the university's funding policy,developed from only supporting poverty students to a funding system covering all students.It plays a positive role in student development and growth.It is a new content of the evaluation to explore the impact of the Work-Study program beyond helping students' economic difficulties It reflects the quality of students' funding policies in universities.This research has theoretical and practical significance.This research collated the literature on the Work-Study program and student development.Using qualitative and quantitative research methods to analyze the study as follows:First,based on student development theory,social learning theory,student involvement theory,and constructivism theory.Put forward the preliminary path of the impact of The Work-Study program on the development of college students Developed and formed a Scale of the environment on the Work-Study program,a Scale of practice on the Work-Study program,a student self-regulation Scale,and a student development Scale with a total of forty-four questions.Second,this research constructs a full-structural equation model of the impact of the Work-Study program on student development,analyzed the relationship between the Work-Study program and student development.The model passes the test.Results show that the policy environment,physical environment,and interpersonal environment of the Work-Study program have a direct impact on the effectiveness of the Work-Study program.Through the student's self-regulation mechanism,students with different backgrounds participate in the Work-Study program to recognize,perceive,experience,and screen different information,forming students' abilities of thinking,practice,and self-efficacy.It reflects the spillover effect of the aid policy in the university funding system.It breaks through the only traditional means of funding poverty and produces new effects that promote the improvement of students' ability and development.Third,multiple linear regression analysis showed that the Work-Study program has a positive impact on students' life improvement,self-regulation ability,learning progress,scholarships,and future career choices,but the high monthly average workload has a negative impact on students' scholarships,the strength is 0.095 per unit.The impact of occupation on boys is 0.183 stronger than that on girls.Finally,the multi-group structural equation model analysis shows,the student background variables of student's major,gender,and average family monthly income have a regulating effect on the development of students in the Work-Study program.In a word,this paper proposes to increase the diversity of college-funded activities such as the Work-Study program,optimize the overall environment of the Work-Study program,pay attention to track the whole process of student development and develop into the Work study promotion plan.
