Education is not only an important mechanism for class reproduction, but also an important channel for upward mobility of class.Human capital as the core of self induced factors which is the main determinants of stratification and mobility in modem society, and educational expectations have direct, stable and effective explanatory power for the acquisition of human capital. For a long time,China's macro-social structure, urban and rural household registration system and insurmountable barriers to further education for migrant children have led them live in a highly marginalized state. It is difficult to obtain upward mobility opportunities through self-effort and school education, always let them live in the shadow of class reproduction. The introduction of college matriculation policy for migrant children undoubtedly enhances the permeability of the inter-group boundary, conveys the belief that "as long as I work hard,I will have the opportunity to enter another group".It provides them with an opportunity to establish a good educational expectation, which is conducive to the promotion of the overall level of human capital of the labor force in China, and also conducive to blocking the "inter-generational transmission of poverty" among vulnerable groups.Based on cultural reproduction theory and ecological system theory, the paper explore the influence mechanism of the identity of college matriculation policy for migrant children on the educational expectations from the micro(individual),medium(family, school)and macro(social)level. The paper chooses middle school and high school children who are in the provinces where the entrance examination policy is"the first breakthrough" to conduct a questionnaire survey to obtain quantitative research empirical data, using SPSS and AMOS statistical software for statistical analysis,to test the moderating effects of the identity of college matriculation policy for migrant children between individual academic achievements family social capital?school segregation.social discrimination and educational expectations. At the same time, using composition with assigned subject and depth interview with migrant children and their parents and teachers to explain the influence mechanism of the identity of college matriculation policy for migrant children on educational expectation. The results show that:(1)The overall educational expectations of the migrant children are in goo'd condition, and the identity of college matriculation policy is in general. There are significant differences in sex, household registration flow type, school type, residence personnel structure, time length in the inflow city and other variables.(2)At the individual level and family level, the identity of college matriculation policy for migrant children has a significant positive impact on part dimensions of their educational expectations. At the school level and social level, the identity of college matriculation policy for migrant children has a significant positive impact on all dimensions of their educational expectations.(3)The identity of college matriculation policy for migrant children can moderate the relationship between individual academic achievement_family social capital.school segregation?social discrimination and educational expectations. It strengthens the positive influence of individual academic achievement and family social capital on the educational expectations;and weakens the negative influence of school segregation and social discrimination on the educational expectations.Based on the results of quantitative and qualitative analysis, this study concludes that the impact of the identity of college matriculation policy for migrant children on educational expectations has the following mechanisms:the institutional mechanism of "household registration",the cultural mechanism of“promoting learning through examination”and the compensation mechanism of“justice principle”.Based on the current problems of the college matriculation policy,we put forward the following suggestions:the institutional factors that hinder the college matriculation policy should be eliminated;the interests of interrelated inter-groups should be coordinated;the supporting measures should be taken to improve the implementation of the policy. Some suggestions are put forward to solve the problem of educational expectations of migrant children.(1)The schools that migrated children attend should help them adapt to the urban curriculum system as soon as possible, carry out one to one support, improve their academic performance, and guide students to form positive educational expectations.(2)Although the family of migrated children is hard to quickly improve the family economic and family cultural level, they should communicate with other parents or schools, improve parents' educational participation and the degree of inter-generational closure, and to promote a good interaction between their family social capital and children's educational expectations.(3)We should improve the overall inequality of schools, eliminate class segregation in schools, and enable migrated children can contact the urban children more easier and grow in a mixed and equal environment.(4)The perception of social discrimination of migrated children is mainly from institutional discrimination, such as unequal school promotion by the household registration.
