A Study On Agricultural Technology Diffusion Influenced By Farmers Endowments And Organizational Modes

Agricultural technological progress is the primary driving force for China's future growth in agricultural production in the past,now and in the future.Farmers are the main terminal consumers of China's agricultural technology.As the migrant workers to leave their houses,out of their homes and in urban and rural areas,China rural residents' income distribution are from a single form to diversification of its revenue in the new situation.With the advance of the market process,the farmers in production factor endowments,human capital endowments and social capital endowments are divided,and such differentiation has a greater impact on farmers' technology application behavior.In the technical application,due to different ownership,different production and management organization modes also have different control power and influence to farmers.The paper analyses both farmers' endowments differentiation and agricultural production and management organization modes on different attributes of technology application,diffusion and efficiency.Specific contents are as follows:From the theoretical angle the paper analyses relationship between agricultural production and management organization modes and agricultural technology diffusion,and find out:the agricultural production and management organization modes are able to guide farmers' technology choices.The paper analyses reasons of i production and management organization modes in agricultural technology diffusion system,and prove that technological innovation and technological diffusion service special investment of agricultural production and management organization modes to farmers are related to intimate relationship between organizations and farmers,and more close the contact,the operability of technological innovation and technological diffusion service is stronger.Part1:description of farmer endowments differentiation and farmers' technology diffusion status quo and analysis of technological application behavior and technological preferences of heterogeneous farmers in the different agricultural production and management organization modesFirstly,income of peasants in Jiangsu province has undergone differentiation.According to survey data calculated,farmer s ' endowment difference has been increased and exist different characteristics in the quantity and structure of farmers' production factor endowments,human capital endowments and social capital endowments.Secondly,the number of agricultural industrialization management organizations in Jiangsu province increases ceaselessly,driving farmers to participate in the organizations which have become one of main motive force to increase farmers' income.Based on the survey data,through the analysis of the contractual relationship and contract operation between farmers and their organization,the degree of tightness,the power of control and influence on farmers by agricultural Enterprises,farmer specialty cooperative organization and strawberry professional association are in turn weakened.Thirdly,through analyzing the effect on technological application behavior and technological preference of farmer endowments and agricultural production and management organization modes,the technological application behavior and technological preference in different organizations due to differences in technical properties show different characteristics.Part2:to explore the main factors of farmers' technology adoption behaviorThis part discusses the effect of farmer endowment differentiation and agricultural production and management organization modes on farmers' technology adoption behavior and technical updating cycle with using the micro data.The two empirical researches are as follows:firstly,this part analyzes farmer endowment differentiation and agricultural production and management organization modes for farmers' technology adoption behavior using the two binary choice model,and prove the two factors' influence on the different attribute technology is not the same.Secondly,by using multiple regression model,market share is proved to have the hindrance function on farmers' technical updating cycle.through interaction analysis,farmer endowment and agricultural production and management organization modes could be decreased the obstructing degree of market share to farmers' technology updates cycle.Part3:to explore the different space effect and time effect of agricultural technology diffusion in different agricultural production and management organization modes and heterogeneous farmersThe section using the micro data analyses the impact of farmer endowment and agricultural production and management organization modes on space effect and time effect of agricultural technology diffusion effects,and distinguish difference in space effects,time effects and its effect mechanism of three different attribute technologies.This part discovers that:firstly,Farmer endowment and agricultural production and management organization modes to time effect of technology diffusion are significantly associated relations.Secondly,farmer endowment and agricultural production and management organization modes can break through the technology potential effects,significantly extending the technology diffusion distance.Thirdly,agricultural production and management organization modes can speed up agricultural technology in time and space spread,but for public welfare technology can be helpless.Part4:to explore the different agricultural production and management organization modes on different farmer s' technical efficiencyBased on survey micro data of strawberry growers in Jiangsu province,this part adopts stochastic frontier model in the translog function form to study farmers' production technical efficiency theoretically and empirically,and exogenous variables of farmer's production technical efficiency are analyzed.It concludes that:farmers'scale of operation and the technical efficiency present "pour U" effect trend.Agricultural i production and management organization modes and tissue incentives obtained from farmers play asignificant role in promoting farmers' technical efficiency,so do capital endowments and social capital endowments.
