With the economics development,transformation,and upgrading in China,the state is increasing its support for new drug research and development in recent years.Clinical research is the important link in the new drug research and Clinical Research Coordinator(CRC)play the very important role in enhancing the quality and speeding up the process of the clinical research project.The aim of this study is to resolve 3 problems,first is to clear the current level of specialization of CRC as a career and present problems;second is to know the job attitude levels of CRC in China,and analyze the effects of their job satisfaction on their organizational and occupational turnover intention;third is to put forward to the systematical proposals about the development and management of CRC as a career in China so as to provide reference for policy makers and managers.Literature analysis,empirical study including intensive interviews and questionnaire survey,and statistical analysis were used in this study and the main study method is empirical study based on the normative study.The results and conclusion of this study are as following.1.The current level of specialization of CRC as a career in China was low and the present problems included that vague vocational accession,uneven vocational personality,nonstandard vocational training,unclear vocational orientation and inconsistent vocational responsibility.It is necessary to take actions to promote the development of specialization of CRC in China.2.China CRCs were moderately satisfied with their job.They were most satisfied with co-workers and most dissatisfied with work reward.In addition,their organizational turnover intention was higher than their occupational turnover intention.Further,China CRCs' job satisfaction levels were related with geographic location and organization type.Multiple regression analysis result showed that the effects of organizational management satisfaction,work reward satisfaction,and direct supervisor satisfaction were significant on organizational turnover intention;and only the effect of work itself satisfaction was significant on occupational turnover intention.The results of this study provide the reference for the human resource management of CRC.3.Based on the above literature and empirical study,to put forward to the systematical proposals about the management of CRC as a career in China including vocational specialization development and human resource management.
