Shanghai Synchrotron Radiation Facility(SSRF) is a high-performance3rdgeneration synchrotron radiation facility, it is one of the largest research facilities inChina. The data archive system of the SSRF beamlines was developed in this thesisafter analyzing the former archive systems (Channel Archiver and RDB ChannelArchiver). And a Browser/Server (B/S) based data retrieving system which depends onthe archive system was implemented. In the final part of this thesis all the systemsreferred were summarized and the further possible development was also discussed.SSRF control system is based on EPICS (Experimental Physics and IndustrialControl System) which is widely used among experimental physics facilities around theworld. It is an open-source software for distributed system real-time control. It wasjointly developed by the Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) and ArgonneNational Laboratory (ANL) of USA. As SSRF’s historical operation data is importantfor its maintenance, the data archive system is an important implementation. The controlsystem of SSRF beamlines contains a lot of control signals and device status signals, some signals vary prominently in their update speed, and the signals locate distributelyin a big network. So there are many requirements for the data archive system to dealwith all the signals.Data archive application is an important part of EPICS expansion tools. Twodifferent data archive tools were analyzed and secondary developed at SSRF. ChannelArchiver is the first data archive tool applied to SSRF, it is developed to cope withMySQL database well in this thesis. RDB Channel Archiver is a newly developed dataarchive tool which can interface with many kinds of relational databases, it is alsoapplied to SSRF, and its archive performance was improved after taking some modifications. NoSQL database support was also developed as a plug-in of RDBChannel Archiver. In addition, Web based data retrieving applications were developedfor users to access the data easily and fast. The applications in this paper are tested and evaluated, and the results show that allthe applications meet our requirements, and the improvement promotes the performance. The preliminary development of NoSQL extension for RDB Channel Archiver offeredanother way of data storage which could deal with large, highly scalable data easily, andprovide the better functionalities in future expansion.
