The Clinical Reserch Of Sciatica Treatment With Catgut Embedding Therapy At Huantiao Point And Puncta Ischidiacum

As a common disease, sciatica frequently occurring in modern cities, it should be really worthy of paying attention to, while it has been increasingly younger trend. The lingering painless makes the patients live with an enormous physical and psychological distress. The scholars in the medical community have already tried their best for the the treatment of sciatica in recent years.ObjectiveThe study adopted the method of catgut embedding therapy at Huantiao point and puncta ischidiacum, compared with the other group which was treated with common acupuncture method, then three scales, the VAS score, BRS-6score, and the McGill score were recorded after the two treatments, then assess the clinical effect.MethodsThe paints were selected from the outpatient department and ward of First Affiliated Hospital of TCM, duiring the period of2013/1to2014/3. We selected these90sciatica patients, divided them into the catgut embedding therapy regulation group and the common acupuncture group, each group including are45cases. Two groups were received the acupuncture therapies based on two aspects with Taiyang Bladder Meridian of Foot and Shaoyang Bladder Meridian of Foot, beyond that, the treatment group(the catgut embedding therapy regulation group) was also received Huantiao point and puncta ischidiacum, every two weeks as a course of treatment,2courses in all. The control group (the common acupuncture group) was three times a week,2weeks as a courses, then totally2courses.Use the statistical software SPSS17.0to estimating the pain conditions get through the three scales before and after treatment.Results1. The difference of VAS score between the two groups was not significant (P>0.05) before the treatment, After one treatment course, the VAS score was decreased in each group, but, it was not so significant (P>0.05) among the group comparision according to the statistical software. Then after two treatment courses, the score was decreased obviously, and it was significant (P<0.05) according to the statistical software, which indicated that the catgut embedding therapy regulation group had advantages at the two treatments of sciatica.2. The difference of BRS-6score between the two groups was not significant(P>0.05) before the treatment. Then after a treatment course, score in both group was decreased, but it was not so significant (P>0.05) among the groups comparision according to the software. After finishing two treatment courses, the score was decreased obviously, and accordingn to the software, it was signif icant (P<0.05). It indicated that the catgut embedding therapy regulation group had advantages during the two treatments.3. The difference of McGill score between the two groups was not significant (P>0.05) before the treatment. Then after finishing a treatment course, the score in both groups was decreased, but, it was not so significant (P>0.05) among the groups comparision according to the software. After finishing two treatment courses, the score was decreased obviously, and it was significant (P<0.05) according to the statistical software, which indicated that, whin the two treatments of sciatica, the catgut embedding therapy regulation group had advantages.4. After the two courses treatment, we can see that in the catgut embedding therapy regulation group, the clinical recovery were18cases, markedly effective were19cases, ineffectiveness were8cases, and the effective rate was82.22%. On the other hand, the common acupuncture group, the clinical recovery was7, markedly effective24, ineffectiveness were14cases, and the effective rate was68.89%, so according to the statistical software, we can get the fact that the curative effect of treatment group was better (P<0.05) than the other one.ConclusionThe paintless score can obviously be decreased by the two treatments, but according to the statistical analysis, after finishing one treatment course, it was not significant (P>0.05) among the groups comparision. then after two, it was significant (P<0.05), it revealed that the catgut embedding therapy regulation group had advantages in the treatment of sciatica.
