| Objebtive:In order to establish the quality standard of Herb Gueldensta edtiae-vernae, a systematic Pharmacognostic research and isolation of chemical constituents of Herb Gueldenstaedtiae vernae, as well as pharmacological studies were performed.Methods:Pharmacognostic researches aimed at the botanical resource, medical character and microstructure of Herb Gueldenstaedtiae vernae were carried out. Scanning electron-microscope was applied in the micro-morphological research on different parts of its aerial parts. Spectrphotometry was used to determine the content of total flavone and polysaccharide with rutin and glucose as standard product respectively. In additional, the content of water extracts, ethanol extracts and ashes in crude samples were determined using the subtraction of weight. At last, amimo acids were determined by PITC methods and the liposoluble constituents were analysed by GC-MS method. Its chemical components of alcohol extractive were analyzed using systematic separation process. Pharmacological studies including immunology, anti-inflammatory, analgesis were also tested on rats and vitro antibacterial activity of effective fractions of crude herb were also carried out with cylinder plate and dilution methods.Results:This research determined the traits in the origin, character, and micromorphology of herb Gueldenstaedtiae vernae and primary quality standard was established. Besides, ten compounds were identified from this medicine including daucosterol, β-sitosterol, n-Hexadecanioc acid, tetracosanoic acid, luteolin, apigenin, lutin, quercetin,12-oleanen-3β,22β-24triol. Pharmacological studies indicate that water extract of herb Gueldenstaedtiae vernae can obviously enhance body immunology. Its water extracts and ethylaceta extracts demonstrated strongly anti-inflammatory, analgesis and antibacterial activities. Conclusions:This research systematically summarized scientific data and established the foundation for the pharmacognosy, quality control, quality standard, isolation and identification of the chemical compounds, pharmacological activity of herb Gueldenstaedtiae vernae. The result is definitely helpful for further research on this medicine. |
