Pb and Zn minerals are the main targets of the project of mineral resources security in the 11th five year plan of homeland resources and they are also the main mineral resources of Xinjiang Autonomous Region .There are huge mineral potential in Wuqia area, Xinjiang, and Pb and Zn minerals are rich there. In this thesis, I focused on the features and genesis of these deposits, analysis of the ore-forming background, discovering of ore-forming rules, forming exploration models and the research and development of combined methods and the best model with pertinence and actual effect for mineral exploration and assessment. It is meaningful for exploration in Wuqia.Based on the project of delineation and synthetic assessment of perspective mineralized section in Xinjiang Hetian, Hami, Wuqia, Nilekealasitan, in this thesis I selected Pb and Zn deposits in Wuqia area as main subject. And the time-spatial evolution characters and mineralization rules in the area would be investigated and summarized. Directed by geoanomaly prediction theory which is put forward by Academician Zhao Pengda, and assisted by GIS, mineral prediction and assessment were carried out and preferable mineralized area and targets were delineated.Through the collection of geologic data in the research area and the research both in field and in doors, the relationship between geological evolution history and ore forming was analyzed. The exploration model for Wulagen deposit was formed.The distribution characteristics of stream sediment elements in 1:200,000 scale in the area were analyzed. To study the relationship among the elements, multivariable statistical methods (e.g. factor analysis)were used and the elements combination in this area was determined as Pb,Zn,Ag and Cd. The spatial distribution of this combination was also determined. The geochemical anomaly area was delineated by C-A fractal methods.Through the study of spectrum mechanism of rock and mineral and the statistical of image data, the alteration information was extracted by principal component analysis. The study improved the grading methods of remote sensing anomaly and evaluated the effective of alteration information, which provided reliable basis for comprehensive analysis of remote sensing and geochemical data and for positioning prediction of the targets.Directed by the mineral prediction theory of geo-anomaly, comprehensive analysis of geological, geochemical and remote sensing data were carried out by the means of GIS; ore-caused geo-anomalies were also extracted. Based on the model of weight of evidence formed in Wuqia area, ore-forming favorability in each prediction unit was calculated. According to posterior probability, five first level targets for prospecting were delineated.
